Sometime in the afternoon I managed to pull myself together, sure it all hurt but I have to focus on getting Mars back right now and I need to get over my stupid feelings, I got rejected. Life will go on.

I cleaned myself up and threw on some sweats and a t-shirt. I went down to see the alpha to know what the plan was about Mars.

I knocked on the door and I heard a voice telling me to come in. “Alpha” I bowed my head in respect. “Hello Maya what can I do for you?” he replied. “well I was just wondering what we were going to do about the rouges and Mars.” I said sitting down in the chair in front of his desk. “well um the thing is they want 1 million dollars to free her. We don’t want a battle here and I’m terribly sorry to tell you but we just can’t give up that money right now. she’s going to have to stay with them.” he said. I felt anger building in me.  “so you’re just going to let them kill her?” I almost yelled at him. “I'm sorry Maya but we can’t do anything more. If there was another way we would try but we’re not giving up a million dollars or starting a war over one person”. He said , his eyes not leaving his computer.

I almost shifted right there and then. That was no way to treat a pack member. Especially since she’s all I have left and he knows it.

I stormed out the office and ran out the front door shifting in mid-air. I will find them. I don’t care what it takes. Mars matters to much to just be forgotten like that because the stupid selfish alpha. I ran for miles tracking the faint off smell of the rouges and sometimes picking up my sisters scents letting me know I was on the right track.

I ran for hours.  Blocking out the mind link with my pack  .Not wanting them to know I'm out of territory, not that they would even care what happened to me. I decided to take a break and slowed down to a walk. When I layed down I heard 3 growls coming from the bushes  .I got in a defensive position until they showed themselves. 2 black wolfs were flanking the sides of one huge brown wolf. The ordered me to shift. But no way was I giving them the upper hand and shifting into a human. I shook my head and let out a low deep growl. The seemed to sense that I thought they were a threat so they went behind the bushes and came back out reveling a girl with light blond hair and pale blue eyes just dressed in a simple t-shirt. While the other two were guys, most likely brothers with they’re dirty blond hair and green eyes. each with a strong muscular build. And then a forth one stepped out.

I don’t even know where he came from, but he looked completely different from the rest with his black hair almost covering his eyes and a golden tan with dark brown eyes. he was definitely something to look at. I nodded and went behind the trees and shifted and put my clothes back on. I was smart enough to carry them, cause I know I would need them soon enough anyway. I came back out and they all eyed me up and down. 

“I’m Maya.  My sister was captured by rouges, and  she’s the only family I have left. My pack refused to do anything about it and I'm out to find her now” I explained hoping they would get that I was no threat.

“your story is similar to ours, our sister got captured and we went out to find her because the pack shouldn’t do anything about it. And our parents are jackasses so we disowned ourselves from our pack.” One of the twin or brothers said.

“that’s smart I should do that.” I said while fumbling through my mind disowning myself from there. “well my name is Luke and this is my brother Lucas that’s our sister Tera and that over there is Jace. He is the son of the alpha so he had then gen, and now we made our own pack. Would you like to join us?” Luke explained.  “ I would love to” I said a bright smile on my face.

We spent some time there in the clearing talking, they were all really nice and I told them my story about the pack and how I wasn’t the most wanted person and all. Everything including the rejection nd the death of my parents . They all felt sorry for me and I quickly grew to love them. they were kind of the pack that I never had.   Not to pick favourites or anything but I was closest with Jace. Something about him was pulling me towards him.

His mom was dead and his dad barley acknowledged him, he was sick of doing nothing about the rouges and decided to help his friends. We agreed once we found our sisters we would either go back to one of the packs, or find a new location, it depends really because they’re sister didn’t like it either at there old pack. But my sister loved it at the Ray pack. Together no matter what we agreed to stick together. Well mostly me with them since they were already together.

They were each amazing fighters I found when we ran into a group of rouges. By the time thye were done there were 3 dead wolf body laying on the ground ‘where did you guys learn how to fight like that, you never mentioned your pack name.’ I asked through the mind link. ‘well uh actually we were part of the Loon pack. And as you may know we don’t have the nicest rep, all our fighters are trained a lot so we each pick up the skills and stuff.’ He said a little awkwardly. I just let it drop since there was obviously something more to it that they didn’t want to talk about.

Maybe things were starting to look up, and with any luck then I could find my sister and have my family back. I just hoped I was that luckey.
