Chapter 32

Maya’s POV

For the rest of the day I stayed locked up in my room refusing to come out. I was sick of people trying to tell me what to do. I came out for food of course and had random member of the pack hugging me and telling me they were so glad I was ok. Half of them didn’t even give a shit about me. I’ve learned to see through people and those were some that were fake.

At night I managed to dig myself out and get out of my room. i never saw Luke Lucas or Tara for the day, my guess was that they were avoiding me. But I have to make the most of my life now and smile. That’s why I was seeking out Chris for a good wolf fight, to let go of my temper.

I walked to his room and simply barged in. wrong thing to do. He was sitting on his bed with Dustin on the other side. I was so distracted with my thoughts I didn’t even smell him. “oh Chris I was going to ask if you wanted to fight, I need to blow some steam” I asked trying not to look at Dustin who was practically burning holes in the side of my head.  “uh sorry May why don’t you go find one of the others I'm kinda busy”  I knew I should leave him alone but I had to whine just because he was blowing me off for Dustin of all people.

“aww come on Chris you’re the only one who’s actually a challenge” I whined. He glared at me, knowing I was only trying to annoy him. “go find Jace, he’s not half bad” he said waving me off. “fine i guess I’ll just take another un over to Blain’s” I said in a sing song voice. I knew none of them like me being over there and I was just here to get one of them pissed off, I learned to appreciate it and make my fun out of it. “you are not going back there” Dustin growled. Bingo! “uh yea I am’ I really had no intention of running another 3 hours to Blains when I just got back today.

“you have enough people to entertain you here, figure it out. but I'm telling Jace to order you not to leave the land” I rolled my eyes at his childish behaviour. He was going to go tell Jace not to let me out, how nice. “ok fine I won’t go, I’ll just go beat up your pack warriors instead” I said with shrug.  He knew I could take any one of those guys and them losing to me will only make them feel weak and lower their self-esteem. Of course I wasn’t that mean though. That was Dustin’s department.

“oh my god Maya why are you so difficult!” he yelled to the ceiling. I snickered and looked over at Chris who seemed pretty amused too. “that’s ok, where would you be if I wasn’t ?” and with that I closed the door and walked off. I would have to find someone else to play with now…….

Well I might as well go and seek out Luke Lucas and Tara since they have been avoiding me… that will be fun for me to see them squirm. Of course I don’t blame them. they’re probably scared shitless of my reaction…. Might as well have fun with it and see what they do. This was just too fun. I should just let loose and relax more often.

I walked through the house a realised I haven’t seen Dustin all day, ever since his big blow out.. I kind of wonder why he reacts the way he does. I mean sometimes he acts like he wants me and others like I’ve done everything wrong. I don’t get it, and I don’t know if I can ever actually be with him.

Many people will forgive rejections, because sometimes it’s act of impulse. But he did so much more, that my choice is weighing down a little. But now is not the time to think about that, I walked down and barged in Luke and Lucas’s room, none of them were there so I went over to Tara’s and again no one was there.

Wow they were doing a great job at avoiding me if I couldn’t even find them. I ran around the top floor, and they weren’t anywhere to be seen. I wonder if there even in the house. ‘Luke Lucas Tara?’ I called through the link. I know they don’t have to answer to me, I'm only 3rd in command, which is at least something but Luke is beta. ‘what’ the all replied at the same time.
