Prayer

Jay POV: the next morning I seen Cole at the edge of the bed.

"What are you doing?" I ask while wiping the crust out my eye.

"I'm praying.. Come here" Cole says and I get up.

"I've never done this." I say honestly.

"It's easy. You just say what you need to say to God. You don't even need to say it out loud of you want" Cole says closing her eyes and Bowing her head.

I look up to the roof and find my hands.

"Dear god... I mean Jesus. I'm sorry I don't know what to say. But it's my first time praying to you. And I don't know why. I just want my mom back. Yeah she didn't accept me. But I still loved her. I just want her to be here" I say in my head as a single tear rolled down my face.

"I've been thinking about  my mom" Cole says standing up.

"What?" I say sitting beside her.

"My mom. I want to talk to her.... I haven't seen her in a long time. And I was thinking she needs to know I'm getting married." Cole says with a serious tone.

"That's fine with me. I think it's a good news" I say.

"Okay I'm glad you said that.... Because she's coming over for dinner tonight" Cole says biting her lip.

"What?!" I says standing up.

"I'm sorry. I should have asked. But I was scared yoh was gonna say no." Cole explains.

"It's okay. I just wish I was more prepared." I say "but let's just get dinner ready." I say while getting up and putting my hand out.

"I love you" Cole says while grabbing my hand

"I love you too."

Then we headed Dow stairs and prepared dinner.

At around 8:30 there was a knock out the door.

"So. Are you ready?" I ask Cole grabbing her hand.

"As ready as I'll ever be." She responds while opening the door.
