"Whore."
"Slut."
"Maybe he's gay because she seriously looks like a dude."
"He's only with you for a fuck-buddy."
"I can't believe he's slumming with that trash."
"He could do so much better."
"Stacey, you had sex with the entire school. How could you possibly claim that I'm a slut?"
The girl rolled her eyes and walked off. I began walking to my third class, trying to find my only friendly face.
"Rem."
I turn around to see his bright blue hues inches from mine.
"Hi, Luke."
"Hi, Remi." He smiled. "Anybody give you trouble?"
"The question should be about who didn't give me trouble."
We started walking back to the class.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, actually."
We took our seats next to each other, firing comebacks at whoever had something to say about the pictures.

"So what the hell is y?" Luke asked.
I tossed him my notes and watched the oceans that I want to dive into, that he also calls his eyes, scan over them.
"Well, I'm fucked."
"C'mon, Lucas-"
"That has never been my name."
"-it's not that hard."
"You do it, then."
"I already did my homework."
"Can I copy it?"
"No. Do it yourself."
"But I'm so cute," he pouted.
"Cute enough to do it yourself."
"Should I be insulted?"
I hopped on his bed next to him. "Where did you mess up?"
He pointed to the first part of the equation.
I rolled my eyes. "Luke, it's division."
He groaned. "Do you think I'll graduate?"
"... I have hope."
"Can we get pizza?" he asked, changing the subject again.
"I'm not hungry."
"Yes, you are. You're always hungry, Remi. Cheese or everything but the kitchen sink?"
"Cheese."
"Kitchen sink, it is." He knows me well.
He opened the app on his phone. "Do you want, like, garlic knots or something?"
