(Warning: extra short chapter because I'm lazy and TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ )
"I think I love you too."
"Really?"
"Yes."
He smiled, making me smile. "Let's go."
"Go where?"
"On a date somewhere. C'mon."
~
I saw nothing but darkness. "Where are we going?"
He pressed his hands tighter against my face. "Wait."
"I'm impatient. Where am I?"
His hands moved and blinked to refocus my vision. We were inside of Patsy's Diner.
"We gotta go," I demanded ushering him towards the door.
"Why? I'm hungry."
"Then let's go someplace else."
"Everywhere else is closed. I just want a burger."
"I can make you a burger at your house."
"Rem, we both know you can't cook."
"Then... um..."
"Why do you wanna leave so badly?"
"Really, Remi?" his voice said from behind me. "You know I work here. Why would you come here with him?"
I turned around. "Nick, I-"
"Leave."
"You can't talk to her like that," Luke interrupted.
"I wasn't talking to you, asshole. Leave."
"Fine, I'll just-"
"Remi, no. I'm not gonna let him walk all over you, babe."
My heart fluttered like a butterfly at the nickname. But was stomped on as Nick spoke.
"Babe?" Nick scoffed. "Really? You're going to come here, knowing I was working today, and torture me with this? Are you kidding me, Remi?"
Everyone's eyes were on us.
"Can we just talk outside? Alone?" I asked.
Nick rolled his eyes and walked out the front door while Luke sighed and sat against a booth.
"What is going on with you, Nick?"
"Are you serious!? I love you! I can't get you out of my head! I was supposed to ask you out! I was supposed to be the one to you! I was supposed to call you babe! And I was supposed to be the one you loved! Not him!"
"Nick, get over me. Please."
"Did you not hear a single word I said? I. Can't. Every time someone says my name, I hear your voice. Every time I close my eyes, I see your face. Why can't you get that? Why can't you feel the same way?"
"Because I don't! I can't, Nick! I love Luke. I can't stop. That's not how it works. You sure don't act like you love me either! Luke wouldn't have left me to deal with Geoff alone."
"I'm sick of hearing about him! Luke this! Luke that! How do you know that I won't make you happier?"
"I don't want to be with you, Nick. Especially now. You've changed. You're either always high or depressed. I see you at school. I see you in the halls. I'm not worth it."
"You are to me! I was there for you since day one and as soon as he shows up, you flip the script! This isn't how it was supposed to go!"
"Nick, have you been taking your meds?"
"That's none of your business, Remi! It doesn't matter, right!? Why do I need to control something about me when the person that matters to me the most doesn't want me?"
"Nick, just go home and rest. Take your pills."
"Don't patronize me!"
He punched a window, glass shattering all over the booth next to it.
"What do you want from me, Remi!? Do you want me to bleed for you? I'll cut myself right now! Do you want me to die!? I'll jump in the lake that you and Luke were at with rocks in my pocket! Yeah, that's right! I took the pictures! I put them all over the place!"
"Why? Nick, you sound insane."
"Because I knew you'd be miserable! You nearly jumped off the school! Until that bastard saved the fucking day! You could've felt what I feel right now, but he was there to save you like always!"
"Nick-"
"So tell me, Remi! What do you want from me?! What can I do to make you mine because I'll fucking do it."
"Nothing, Nick. Nothing."
He paused. "I get it now. I see how you feel... Do you think I'll go to heaven or hell?"
"What? Nick, what're you talking about?"
"I guess I'll figure it out. See you on the other side, Remi."
He began walking off. And I didn't follow him.

What a crap chap. This is a short filler, but there's only two more chapter's left. I don't think the ending will be a shocker. That's about it so
