The group enters school. Lucas breaks the sudden, awkward silence.
"So.. Uh Team Bonding Day.. That's New?"
"Yes. And I plan to make the most of it. It's going to be so exciting!" Riley says
*RIINGGG*
"And it's starting." Zay says unenthusiastically.
The group walks into Mr. Matthew's classroom and takes a seat.
"Who's excited for Team Bonding Day?" Mr. Matthews asks.
Small cheers are heard. Riley stands up and cheers
"Yaaayyyy woooo!!"
Maya remains stonefaced while everyone else smiles and chuckles.
"Come on Maya!" Riley says
Maya puts on a fake- but believable -smile.
"Yay. Wohoo" Maya says with fake energy.
"That's the spirit!"
Riley sits down.
"Alright class, pair up in twos."
Farkle pokes Maya in the shoulder and Maya turns to see who it is.
"Wanna pair up?" Farkle asks.
"Sure." Maya responds, a little disapointed
"You both paired up?" He asks.
"Yes." Maya responds.
"Alright, well I'm with Smackle and Lucas and Riley are paired." Zay says.
"Sounds good. Everyone happy?" Lucas says.
Maya nods slowly, Riley nods entusiasticly, Zay nods, Smackle nods, and Farkle nods.
"Class, prepare for the first activity." Mr. Matthews says.
