I asked myself—more on the cellphone—bago ko tiningnan yung oras.

"It's only 3 am?" gulat kong tanong.

Ugh.

I need to remind myself to sleep on the right time again so that I can wake up exactly 5 am in the morning. Sleeping at 4 pm and waking up at 1 am is not really a good idea...

This book is really good. Remind me to buy the third book.

. . . . .

I was near the end of the story when I heard my phone ring. I saw my aunt's name registered on the screen.

"Anong meron?" I curiously asked.

She wouldn't call me unless it is something important or urgent so I was wondering if there is something...

I was in deep thinking when I finally realized.

"Oh... the cards." i whispered.

I took my phone and answered it.

"Hey, Mara." I heard Aunt Mia's voice.

"Hey." I answered.

"I'm gonna be in your school at 3 exact." she reminded.

"Okay."

"You don't do it again, don't you?" she asked.

I looked at the wall and stared at it blankly, "I can't promise you that."

I heard her sigh, "Okay. I guess I would just expect it to be higher than it used to be."

Hindi ko siya sinagot. I don't have anything to answer, what's the point?

"I'm hanging up. See you later." I heard her say.

"Kay." I said before hanging up.

After the call, I stood up and put the book back to my shelf, with the bookmark on it, of course. It would be really hard to find that page again.

"Tubig... expired cheese... milk... and eggs. Great," I whispered as I hovered my eyes inside. I was all sarcasm when I saw its content.

"I need to remind Aunt Mia to go to the groceries..." bulong ko ulit habang nakatingin parin sa loob ng ref kong 'di ko alam kung matatawag nga ba na ref.

Pinching my nose, kinuha ko yung expired cheese at itinapon sa basurahan.

"Why do I even have cheese in my ref?" I asked disgustedly.

I took the the last two eggs I have and cooked it. Good thing at may cooking oil pa ako.

Kinuha ko yung natitirang loaf bread na meron ako at linagay yun sa plato na may itlog. I took a glass and poured the milk.
