"Long time no see!"
I crossed my arms as they walk closer.
I smiled widely when Gavin threw me a big hug. I almost choked sa sobrang higpit ng yakap niya. Laughing, I hugged him back.
"Na-miss kita, Sam!" he shouted.
Our reunion hug was interrupted when Vaughn suddenly coughed abruptly. We both looked at him.
"Panira ka naman, brad e! Halika na nga!" Gavin grabbed me to Vaughn and the three of us hugged.
I was happy but at the same time confused. There were a lot of questions on my mind right now.
"W-wait." I said.
Damn, I couldn't feel my breath anymore.
"C-can't breathe."
"Damn you both." I laughed.
. . . . .
We decided to have a talk in the coffee shop.
"So..." I started, "paano kayo nakarating sa school?" I asked habang pinanliliitan sila ng mata na tila kinikilatis silang dalawa.
"Sumakay kami sa sasakyan ni Vaughn." Gavin innocently looked at me.
I raised my brow. He knew what I was talking about, obviously.
"Hindi ko kayo nakilala nung una ko kayong nakita sa harap ng office." I started, avoiding the first question I asked.
"Really? Nakita mo kami?" Gavin asked.
"Yup. Nung isang araw. I never knew kayo pala yun. Kaya pala familiar." I said reminiscing the time I saw them.
"I can't blame you. We changed since we graduated." Gavin answered.
"Bakit nga pala kayo nagpalit ng kulay ng buhok? Kaya hindi ko kayo nakilala nung nakita ko kayo sa school." I asked again.
Vaughn naturally had an ash brown hair while Gavin had an chestnut brown hair.
"We think it's pretty cool and we look hot in this color, right?" Vaughn confidently said.
I raised my brow on Vaughn. He never changed.
"We looked good, right?" Gavin said, wiggling his thick eyebrows.
Well, truth to be said, they actually looked good. Ayoko lang sabihin at baka lumaki ang ulo nilang dalawa at tadtarin ako ng pangaasar, like they usually do before.
"Sam talaga. Ang seryoso mo. Don't we look good? A makeover isn't actually bad." Gavin pouted.
He looked cute doing that gesture. I remembered before when we were still classmates—we still do though—I always pinch his rosy cheeks kapag napipikon siya.
"Yeah, whatever." I looked at him, teasing.
I looked at him while he is drinking his juice, "So, Gavin, where are your thick glasses?"
He choked on his drink that made me and Vaughn laugh. His reactions are really priceless.
He wiped his mouth, "'Wag ka ngang maingay. Baka may makarinig sa'yo." sabi niya habang tinitingnan ang paligid na akala mo eh may nakatingin sakaniya.
Me and Vaughn laughed again.
"Why? You look cute on those glasses." I said, smiling.
Vaughn stopped laughing and glared at me while Gavin blushed for a second.
"Hehe, thanks for the complement. I know I look cute on those but I want to look hot you know. With those hot babes drooling over me? I don't think I could remember the last time I wore those. Tsaka, haven't you hear of contact lenses? Nakatira ka ba sa ilalim ng bundok?"
I rolled my eyes, "Idiot. Of course I know what lenses are. I just think you look way cuter with those glasses tapos ang liit-liit mo pa dati. I can even rest my elbows on your head. You look like a middle schooler." I chuckled.
"I feel so insulted right now, Samara. Hindi ka manlang ba nagagwapuhan sakin?" and he did the 'pogi' pose. "Tsaka I'm now way taller than you so you can't really say na maliit ako. Hanggang balikat na nga lang ata kita eh. Tsaka may muscles na ako at ab—"
"Shut up. You talk too much." I looked at him, bored.
I averted my eyes on Vaughn na nakabusangot.
I asked him.
"Nagsese—aray!" biglang sinuntok ni Vaughn si Gavin sa braso kaya hindi niya naituloy ang sasabihin niya.
"Wala lang ako sa mood, okay?" Vaughn said at nagmukmok nanaman sa upuan niya.
He is always like that. Playful tas biglang seseryoso.
"Tell me," I asked while I gave them a serious look, "why are you here?"
They stayed silent for a while bago nagsalita si Gavin.
"U-uh..." he looked on his right and scratched the back of his head.
"W-we missed going to school? Hahaha." he continued while he dart his eyes back and forth.
"Marami namang ibang school diyan, ah? There are better schools out there. Why did you chose that school?" I asked them straightforwardly.
"You know, t-there are many cute girls there and—aray! nakakailan ka na, brad!" sabi ni Gavin habang hinihimas ang batok niya.
"Dumbass, she could read your moves." Vaughn said, rolling his eyes at bumalik sa pagkakadekwatro na upo, "Tell her the truth."
Agad na kumunot ang noo ko.
Truth? What truth?
Gavin sighed and looked at me.
"We need you."
