Mercy's POV

How could he do that? He almost blurted out a secret that Jason doesn't even know, that is how big the mistake came to be. I was young and dumb now it was never going to leave. How could I have be so stupid? I stopped running and took in my surroundings, I had managed to get outside the school. I leaned against the brick wall and broke down in tears, putting my head in my hands. This is never going to leave me, this secret will ruin my life I thought. Unless I told everyone... yeah right Connor will wake up before that becomes an option.

"Hello?" a soft voice questioned. I wiped my tears away as I looked up at her.

"Hey" I hiccupped.

"Are you ok? Do you need someone to talk to?" she asked.

"My life just keeps slipping away from me" I told her.

"Come on" she grabbed my hand and picked me up.

"Where are we going?" I asked her.

"My favourite spot, it's in the library" the girl lead the way.

She took me into an aisle. "Nobody comes in here, not even the librarian" she explained, we sat against the wall.

"What is your name?"

"Brayleigh Marshall, I know you're Mercy, Sable's twin" she shook my hand.

"How did you... what is happening here?" I stared into her beautiful grayish-blue eyes.

"I know everyone in this school" a smile appeared on her face, "how's Connor by the way?" she rambled, her bright orange hair styled over to the left side of her head.

"He's still in his coma."

"He'll wake up... his aura is strong" she smiled at me.

"Surprisingly I believe you, but that isn't why I'm here is it?" I asked her raising an eyebrow.

"I'm Brayleigh, I see everything in this school, my brother taught me how" she explained.

"And?" I was getting impatient.

"I saw the argument between you and your friend Albi, it's easy to understand you Mercy Georgette Clark" she smiled warmly at me.

"What's so easy to understand about me? I don't even understand and it's MY life!"

The waterworks began again. She wiped my tears away and sat next to me, putting my head in her lap. She brushed the hair off my face and smiled sweetly down at me.

"You honey, have had many disappointing things happen to your in your entire life. In the last 3 years you've had your heart broken by your first love and then she changed into a completely different person. Then you find a long lost twin and found out you were kidnapped by the woman that you thought was your mother, then you discover the fact that your brother is in a coma so you visit him all the time because it's the only way you can pretend that you grew up together" she explained my whole life even though we only just meet. I grabbed her hand and kissed it. She understood me, it was creepy but also relieving.

"Do you want to read... uh, a history book?" she looked around at the books around us. I grabbed a random one and gave it to her and put my head against her chest. I fell asleep after awhile.

I awoke with a start and turned my phone on... 1:38 pm. Shit I slept longer than I should have. A bell rang and something inside me told me to go to the hospital. I followed as I have already missed most of the day. Yawning along the way, I got up, snuck downstairs and left the school-grounds. I jogged to the hospital letting my gut lead the way. Connor, something has happened to Connor. Once I entered the hospital I ran straight to his room not bothering with arguing with the receptionist. I skidded into his room, but as I entered, something was different. My eyes started inspecting his body to find the differences. I was so focused on Connor that I didn't see Mum standing in the doorway of the room.
