Chapter Seven: The Arrival of the unwanted life

Mercy's POV

"Hey, do you want to walk to school?" I asked Sable as I sat next to her at the table. She looked around.

"Are you talking to me?" She asked pointing to herself.

"Yes you, you don't have to but if you do I'm leaving in 10" I ate my toast and vegemite before going upstairs to my room.

"Mercy, oh thank goodness, can you please help me?" Livvy had her pajama shirt all twisted up.

"Here" I fixed it up and took it off her.

"Thanks Merce"

"Merce?" I questioned it, did I like it or not? I don't know.

"It's a nickname" Livvy explained.

"Okay smartypants, go have some breakfast" I chuckled. I got up and went through my wardrobe. Taking my red leather jacket, white tee and dark denim jeans I got dressed and to finish off the look I took my light brown ankle boots.

"You ready to go?" I asked Sable putting my laptop into my bag.

"Yeah" she grabbed her bag. My phone buzzed, Want to walk our usual walk? Brayleigh texted.

Sure, I have Sable with me is Kayleigh coming? I replied.

Cool, and yeah She replied.

"Come on" I started running to the corner. I saw Brayleigh and Kayleigh walking down the street.

"Mercy!" Kayleigh ran up to me and I picked her up.

"Sup Sista?" I asked.

"Nothing, just going to school" she pouted.

"Hey you have to go to school to learn how to take over the world" I explained to her.

"Ohh, yeah, let's go to school" she pointed in the direction of the school.

"You can walk" I put her down as Sable caught up to us.

"Man you're fast and with heels on, geez" Sable went on.

"Hi, I'm Kayleigh" Kayleigh shook Sable's hand.

"Hi, I'm Sable" she smiled lightly.

"Are you ok? We will have to talk at lunch" Brayleigh hugged me.

"Yeah, at lunch"

"Hi I'm Brayleigh" she held out her hand to Sable.

"Sable. Did you come this term?" She shook her hand.

"No, I sort of came in Yr 1" Bray bit her lip at the awkward moment.

"Look there's the Kindy" I pointed at the building ahead. "Race you Kay" I started running, I heard her giggling behind me.

"I won, I won" I jumped around outside the classroom.

"Bye Mercy" Kay giggled puffing a bit.

"Bye Kay, Let's go girls" I jogged over to the others. I started jogging backwards in front of the girls. Brayleigh just had fits of laughter and Sable watched her.

"I'll see you at lunch?" Bray asked.

"We can try" I smiled at her, she hugged me and we went our separate ways. Sable and I walked into the Locker Hall. I put my bag in my locker and grabbed my laptop.

"Mercy" I heard her obnoxious voice sing from down the hall.

I rolled my eyes, slammed my locker door and leaning against it.
