Chapter Thirteen: Albi Stuffs Up

Mercy's POV

Bray said that she and I would take a break while she 'processed' what I told her... but... that was 3 weeks ago.

"Let's go to School" Connor shouted jumping around in the way only he could. He only had a moonboot on now and he was cleared to go to school. It made him super excited to get out of the house. I wiped the tears away from my face and grabbed my bag and sunglasses, walking out through the side door. Twenty-One Pilots played in my earphones as I made my way to school.

I walked past the Library and tears fell as the thought of her being there played in my mind.

"Hey Mercy" I jumped and quickly wiped the fresh tears away.

"Hey Gabe" I tried to sound normal but failed.

"She hasn't come back has she?" He asked hugging me.

"My past is not my fault" I broke down.

"Hey shh it'll work out eventually, you gotta stay strong that's the best way" he wiped my tears away and handed me a tissue. Gabe was complicated as well, he had the body of a jock but the heart of a big teddy bear.

"Connor's lucky to have you" I laughed with tears still falling. "I feel so stupid."

"True lovers should be able to tell and accept anything, except cheating which no one has done in your case. I mean, it's not like you wanted him to do that to you." Gabe said as someone wrapped their arms around me from behind.

"Hey Man, you got this?" Gabe asked him.

"Sure" they fist bumped each other.

"How are you this morning honey-buckle?" Albi turned me around to face him. I saw a girl come through the door.

"Is that... is that Breezy?" I asked him as she came closer.

"Yeah, she came like three weeks ago" He looked at me weirdly.

"I've been distracted" She walked over to us.

"Greenish eyes and actually talking to Albs. Hey Mercy it's been forever how are you?" She smiled and hugged me.

"Hey Bree, I'm sorry I haven't seen you or talked to you earlier" I told her.

"It's okay babe, I know how you're feeling" she hugged me.
"Why did you say that I was actually talking to Albi?" I just realised what she said.

"Sable and Albi like each other they are just too shy to admit it" She smiled at him.

Albi's face flushed red as he laughed nervously. "What are you talking about Bree?" his blush got darker.

Bree smirked at him and raised an eyebrow. "Albi, you know you can't lie to us. Besides, it's very obvious."

Albi sighed in defeat."Okay, okay... I was going to ask her but..." he looked at me.

"Ooo what?" She fluttered.

"Something happened and I respectively waited" He continued.

"Ask her out now!" I told him, forgetting everything.

"Now?" He asked nervously.

"Right now! But first come here" Bree started fixing his hair.

"No stop it" he flinched and put it back to where he had it, which caused me to laugh, like properly laugh for the first time in a month.
