Mercy's POV
"Sable has been gone a long time" Connor looked around for her.
"I'll go down and check on her." I got up and walked down the stairs. I got a weird feeling about Sable while walking down There was a wheelchair at the front door that caught my eye as I turned to go down the hall. It looked... familiar? I swear I had seen it before but who knows, there are hundreds of wheelchairs in the world. But still the wheelchair sat there like a beacon for my eyes. I walked over to it and saw that the door was open and there had been a struggle of some sort. Wait a second... where's the doorman? I ran outside and looked around. I could hear faint groans around the corner and followed it. I gasped at the sight. There a man was over an unconscious body dressed in red . I grabbed him around his shoulders and yanked him off her. She looked like a train-wreck. The guy turned around and punched me down when he realised what had happened. At that moment I remembered him and the wheelchair... and the woman that I had thought was my mother. He was the guy that would 'come over' when 'dad' was away. He would come once a month, ever since I was 8 years old. Then she would dose me up with medicine that would increase my chances of having a seizure even though the stress itself was more painful than the medication. He climbed on top of me, pulled my underwear away roughly and entered, breaking me away from my thoughts. Holding me down to stop my struggling he sped up. I wanted to scream but I couldn't. I was still in shock from seeing my twin on the ground unconscious and knowing what he had done to her because he probably thought that she was me. I did cry though when he came inside of me.
"Why do you do this?" I asked him tears flooded my eyes.
"Do you remember yet hon?" he asked in the weird voice that I was forced to grow up with.
"My father is a Policeman! You know, my real one" I bit back the tears. It sucks when you have to go through this once and it's horrible when it happens at a young age. But when it continues to happen over and over again... it is something no one can get use to.
"You're just saying that, everyone does" he laughed.
"Ever heard of Chief Constable Adam Clark arresting Rachel Bell?" I asked him, he wasn't really listening to me until that moment then he removed himself.
"Shit." He put his pants on before he grabbed his wheelchair and ran away. I looked over at Sable lying on the opposite side of the alleyway. This was the reason that I don't like to wear anything too girly.
"I'm so sorry that we met. I shouldn't have ever came here and I definitely should have followed through and killed myself after last time instead of chickening out." I lied on the ground in the cold. Tears streamed down my cheeks before falling onto the cement under me. Everything was quiet now. I could hear the sound of insects chirping in the distance but that was about it apart from an occasional burst of laughter from the restaurant. I took slow breaths and closed my eyes. Traumatised once again, filthy and completely out of energy, I passed out.
"Mercy? Sable? Oh God what happened?" I heard a voice... was that Gabe? I tried to open my eyes but I was still exhausted. All I could do was groan.
"Gabe? What is it?" I heard Connor's voice. I do not want anyone to know about this.
"Ahh, honey it's nothing just saw some people walk past" there was a few footsteps and I guess he ran over to Connor.
"He came back the one time I'm not around didn't he?" Albi's voice asked as he lifted me and I moaned in agreement. My eyes opened a little and I saw Goel carrying Sable.
