Chapter27: Inevitable

I wasn't sure if Harry was pissed or not. He should have been but he didn't look angry, he just stared at me with an expression I couldn't really comprehend, his hands clasped behind his back.

Either angry or not, I was the one at fault, but not completely because I had told him that I would try, I never made any promises. Even though I was idle throughout yesterday, getting up this morning was a challenge, just like every other morning.

If not that Harry had said something about having breakfast together, I had no plans on allowing my feet to come in contact with the cold floor. But since Harry had changed my plans, I somehow managed to crawl out of bed; almost twenty minutes after my alarm went off.

It took me another twenty minutes to get into the shower and by the time I was out, still dripping from head to toe, Harry then decided to grace me with his presence. It was also then I stopped dragging my feet on the ground, and picked up pace, drying up my body and throwing on a pink bathrobe before heading to the door.

Harry eyed me from my damp hair to my bare cold feet. He had this look on his face; one I wasn't so sure of. He didn't look mad or angry, neither did he look pleased. His expression was just illegible.

But he did look very handsome with his loose button down shirt (though I'm not sure they were buttoned at all) and black jeans with a fedora placed on his head. And though I would have loved to ponder on how hot he was, I was still undressed and damp. I had set my priorities straight.

I let him in without a word and immediately I shut the door behind me, I headed straight to my room, knowing exactly what I had to do and how quickly I had to do it.

So I threw on the first casual that came to my mind which happened to be a light creamish-brown top and jeans, throwing my scarf around my neck. I quickly clad my shoes to my feet after I had managed to comb out my hair and apply a quick touch of makeup.

Harry had let out a sigh after taking me in when I rushed back into the living room. He gave me a questioning look when I quickly ran into the kitchen and grabbed a granola bar, because, damn I was starving.

I just shrugged and walked out of my apartment, Harry following closely behind me, one hand placed at the small of my back. I had already consumed the bar before we got to the parking lot where he had parked his Audi.

Once he had helped me in and gotten in himself, he turned and faced me, eyeing me pointedly. "How'd you sleep?" he had asked.

"Good," I had answered, shifting in my seat. "Would have been better if I slept for a few more hours, but don't worry, I'll catch up later."

Harry just rolled his eyes at me, before cupping my cheeks with his large hands, pulling me closer and before pressing his lips to mine. He kissed me ardently, our lips moving in sync, and it was then I realized how much I missed kissing him and also how much I missed the taste and scent of him.

It didn't take much time before I felt the familiar tingly feeling in my stomach, my mind completely clouded. Even the chills down my spine were present and they were intensified once he slipped his tongue into my mouth.

His fingers trailed down to my chin, holding me in place as he continued assaulting my lips, and I was more than sure that if the console between us separating our bodies didn't exist, I would have unknowingly crawled unto him, craving more.

Once Harry detached his lips from mine, I take a few seconds to catch my breath before saying truthfully. "I don't feel so hungry anymore."

"Interesting," Harry commented, nudging his nose against mine. "But I am still taking you to eat anyway because breakfast is the most important meal of the day."
