Chapter 39: Runaway
Harry's P.O.V
It took me less than thirty minutes to realize something was off, unfortunately the time of realization had been too long and now Emiliana was nowhere to be found and I was fucking pissed.
"What the fuck do you think you are doing?" I had asked Regina who was bold enough to sit where Emiliana was meant to.
Smiling, knowing that she hadn't only gained my attention, she took a sip out of the flute on the table."Why so ill-mannered? I just want to talk."
"Not here, not now, not ever. Get the hell out of my sight."
Her confident smile diminished and she stared at me with a familiar glare I had seen in Emiliana's eyes time without number, hurt. "You don't get to speak to me that way, Harry. Especially not because of that girl who got you so messed up."
"I am not fucking doing this with you right now. Stand up and walk away while you still a little pride left." I had said, not only wanting her to leave but also not wanting Emiliana to come back and get the wrong idea. She tends to misunderstand easily in cases like this.
I could feel the rage emitting of Regina and I could care less if she turned redder than the color of her hair. "Do you think because I'm here because I care for your stupid charity event? I came here to see you and to also see the woman who had the audacity to tie Harry Styles down and I must admit, she is quite pretty but not exactly your type Harry."
The annoyance laced in her voice was sounded sharp enough to slice a sheet of glass but it did not at all faze me because the anger streaming through my veins were more dangerous. "I am not discussing Emiliana with you."
"Of course you aren't, since I already discussed you with her."
As the words left her mouth, I was ready to spit out venom of my own, feeling the annoyance and anger boiling in my blood. Only hearing her speak of Emiliana was enough to make me run crazy but knowing that she had spoken with her could turn me into a bloody murderer.
I watched as a triumphant smile spread across her lips as she stares intently at me, draining her glass."You spoke with Emiliana." I said simply, not wanting her to elaborate because I was more than sure the next words that would come out of her mouth would cause me to flip in anger.
But I guess she wasn't clear that my statement was not a question as she spoke. "Of course I did, I had to. The girl sure is a good listener."I didn't wait to find out what she said to Emiliana because I knew that was the sole reason why Emiliana wasn't the one seated beside me right now. Whatever she must have said must have had a very bad impact on her and therefore, the probability of me blowing up in rage was getting higher and higher and if I were to take my anger out on Regina like she deserved, she would not like the outcome.
I get up from my seat, eyes scanning around the hall for Emiliana, and in the process of doing so Regina kept calling out my name, trying to gain my attention since we had already gained that of everyone else on the table.
Concluding that she was not in the hall, I push the seat away with the back of my legs, ready to walk away when Regina's hands grabbed my wrist. I stared down at her, her eyes pleading for me not to walk away but I did care the slightest bit as I used my free hand to detach her hand from mine.
One thing that all these women had in common was their desperation and it fucking irked me.
I took long strides out of the hall, not minding the looks thrown my way. Right now, I could care less if everyone in that hall burned to ashes, the only thing on my mind was finding Emiliana.
