Severus Snape's Son: Book 3 [COMPLETED]

We are young

"Hi Ginny" Harry mutters. Ginny smiles at Harry but she still has the sad look in her eye. "Look I know you left upset yesterday and im sorry about that... I like you" Harry says with a smile. She smiles to but she still doesn't say anything. "But you're right. There's Ron to worry about and the fact that he is so immature and he won't understand. Also we are young, I don't want us to turn out like Katie and Jake" Harry said sadly. "Sometimes you need to wait for something good" Harry mutters. "And I know when that happens it will be amazing" Harry finished. He had surprised himself with his words, only thirteen and he knows all the right things to say to Ginny.

"You're right." Ginny said. She then put out her hand and smiled. "Friends... For now I guess" she said. Harry chuckled and she shook her hand and pulled her into a hug.

"Friends can hug right?" Harry asked. Ginny pulls away and nods.

"I guess they can" Ginny said. "Hey Harry do you want to meet me by the tree near the lake before dinner?" Ginny asked. Harry nodded and smiled.

"Yes I think I'd like that"

"Today is a very important day as a fourth year" Severus Snape said to his class of Slytherins and Gryffindors. Jake looked at his father as he spoke. Potions was the only class he went to all the time these days. Katie sat next to him because she was his potions partner for the whole school year. "This potion determines whether you go on into your fifth year, it determines whether you can go onto study for your OWL's" Snape said. He looked over at Jake and Katie for a moment and then began pacing in front of his desk. "You must get at least an A for this subject to move on to your fifth year." Snape said slowly and carefully. He was nervous about his son doing well with this potion as he knew that him and Katie weren't really on speaking terms. Jake had claimed that he ended it on good terms but he showed so much resentment towards Katie that it didn't seem that way. Jake raised his hand.

"What if we don't get an A?" Jake asked. It was obviously the question everyone wanted answered.

"Well Mr. Snape" Severus began, it sounded weird saying that. "You will have to talk to your head of house to see what you could do to pass the subject... Although I highly recommend that you try your hardest no matter what" Severus said, his eyes flicked over to Katie and back to Jake. 

"Okay" Jake said quietly. Everyone looked over at him and Katie. Katie was looking down at the desk nervously.

"Okay, get started. We are making a sleeping draught" Severus said. Everyone got up and began making their potions. Jake looked over at Katie.

"You know I don't have to talk to you" Jake said stubbornly. Katie frowned and she shook her head.

"Oh gosh Jake, you already are" Katie replied.

"I said I don't have to" Jake muttered. Katie rolled her eyes and walked off to get the ingredients. Severus walked up to him.

"try and fix things" Severus said. Jake glared at him.

"I am not getting back with her" Jake snapped. Severus shook his head disappointedly. "She cheated on me, with one of my good friends"

"I know that, I'm not telling you to be her boyfriend again, I'm telling you to fix it so you don't hate each other"

"I don't hate her... I could never hate her" Jake said slowly. Katie was standing there with her arms full of ingredients. She had heard the last thing that Jake had said. Jake looked at her and took the ingredients from her. "Let's just make the damn potion"

Ginny was sitting on the rock by the lake when Harry came running over. "Sorry, I was talking to professor Mcgonagall, she is a hard marker" Harry muttered. Ginny smiled at him.

"That's okay, it's not like this is a date or anything, we are just hanging out as friends" Ginny replied. She looked out at the lake, the sun was setting and it looked beautiful. "This is where I come to think"
