Jake transformed into his human form when he got into the whomping willow. He couldn't see Sirius but he could hear talking in the next room.

"I always knew you'd be this pathetic Sirius, i assume you are here to kill Harry or even Jake" the very familiar voice said.

"Remus" Sirius said with a chuckle. "You don't seriously think I would kill them? Do you?" Sirius asked.

"I'm not sure what to think anymore, I never thought that one of my bestfriends would betray my other bestfriend" Remus said. Jake heard Sirius chuckle again and he moved closer to the room that they were in.

"It's seems you're thinking of the wrong bestfriend" Sirius said calmly.

"I'm not sure what you mean" Remus said with a pause then before Sirius said anything he began to speak again. "And I don't care what you mean... You killed Peter, you killed James so how do I not know if you're about to kill me or not" Remus said.

"His not" Jake said stepping into the room, this took Remus by surprise.

"Jake what are you doing here" Remus asked. Jake ignored him and looked at Sirius.

"Peter has been caught, you are free" Jake said.

"Peters dead" Remus said. Jake looked at Remus and laughed.

"No he's not" Jake said. Remus looked at him confused. "First of all Sirius is innocent, second of all Peter Pettigrew is Ron's pet rat, third of all Peter is alive and he committed every crime that everyone thought Sirius committed" Jake said simply.

"But Sirius was the secret keeper" Remus said. Jake was about to speak but Sirius put his hand up to stop him from speaking.

"I can handle this Jake, I don't need you to speak for me" Sirius said with a small laugh. He then faced Remus. "I must say Remus, it still is my fault that the potters are dead.."

"Wait, what?" Jake asked confused. Sirius turned to Jake and frowned.

"Let me explain... I thought that it would be a good idea to let Peter be the secret keeper of your Lily and James's house because You-know-who would have expected them to choose me to be the secret keeper. James and Lily agreed and so Peter became the secret keeper ..." Sirius said. Then he did the unexpected and put his head in his hands. "It's all my fault" Sirius sobbed. "Lily and James wouldn't be dead if it weren't for me" Sirius cried into his hands.

"Come on Sirius, this isn't your fault... Are you crying? Out of all the years of us being best friends I have never seen you cry until now" Remus said. Sirius looked up and chuckled. He whiled away his tears.

"This isn't your fault, clearly... It's Peters, he was the one that made everyone believe that he was the good guy" Jake said.

"That's not exactly how it was..." Remus said quietly.

"What do you mean?" Sirius asked.

"I knew that Peter was going to become a death eater, I didn't know when or even if he had become a death eater but he told me about it and he asked me to become one as well" Remus said ashamed.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Sirius asked with a offended look on his face.

"No the real question is... What was your answer?" Jake asked. Remus looked at Sirius.

"I didn't tell you because of my answer... I didn't mean it, I was just going along with it because I though maybe he would trust me and tell me other stuff" Remus said with a guilty look.

"You said you would" Jake said. Remus nodded slowly.

"Trust me Jake, I'm on your side"

"HOW CAN WE BE SO SURE OF THAT" Jake yelled running towards Remus. Sirius came forward and held Jake back.

"Come on Jake, Remus is a good person" Sirius said quietly into Jake's ear.

"Is that what you said about Peter before he killed my parents" Jake said angrily.

"Tell me something Jake? Do you think I would have told you that if I were a deatheater" Remus asked. Jake thought about it and shook his head.

"No"

"We need to leave this place" Sirius said. "If what you said is true Jake then I'm free"

"Yeah that's what the minister said" Jake said. Sirius nodded and walked towards Jake.

"I could never thank you enough for what you have done for me Jake" Sirius said with a tear rolling down his cheek.

"Innocent people that are mistaken to be guilty are always worth helping" Jake said. Sirius chuckled and pulled Jake into a hug.

"Let's go"

"Sirius, how nice it is to see you" Dumbledore said with a smile.

"I'm sure you wouldn't have thought it was so nice to see me a few hours ago" Sirius said coldly. Dumbledore looked taken back.

"I'm sorry for what you have gone through these past years but I didn't now... How could I know?" Dumbledore asked.

"You're right, I'm sorry" Sirius said softly and kindly.

"Sirius, we are going to have to take you to the Ministry for questioning"the minister said. Jake got to his feet.

"You said he was free" Jake said angrily. Sirius put his hand on Jake's shoulder.

"It's alright Jake, they only want to question me"
