"Hello Mrs. Wisconsin, I am calling from North View Junior High to inform you that Gemma Wisconsin has once again caused trouble during class time. This time it was something more extreme than her usual misbehaviour. We would really appreciate it, if you could immediately show up to discuss a few things with us about her," the woman on the other line spoke.

What was I going to do with this girl?

I let out a breath of air, biting my lip before I answered. "Have you tried calling her father?"

"Yes, but his phone is switched off," she responded.

I tapped my fingers on the steering wheel, wondering what had made him switch his phone off for the first in forever. "Alright, I'll be there in forty-five minutes."

"Thank you."

I put my car in drive, and began to head out towards Gemma's school, seeing as how I didn't have anything to do right now anyways.

Yesterday, when I had went to my office, the roses were back where they had been before. I forced myself to believe Umar had lied to me and not actually had thrown the roses away. And even though I had thrown them away myself, they had suddenly appeared this morning when I went into my office.

Maybe I was going crazy. Or someone with magnificent skills in magic was playing with me.

Either way I couldn't stay there anymore. I had to leave, and be as far away as possible, until I had figured out what was going on.

Aneway's words couldn't be true. How would she even know if I was dying? Was she a psych? Who was she and how would she know if my time was up?

12:33 am

"Thank you for showing up, Mrs. Wisconsin. I am Principal Chu," the principal began, shaking hands with me.

I nodded at her then took a seat as she proceeded, explaining to me what Gemma had done today.

"She threw a chair at another student, Mrs. Wisconsin. Gemma needs serious help if she continues on with this sort of behaviour."

"You don't even know what happened," Gemma interjected, crossing her arms across her chest. "You're lying. I did not throw a chair at Jamie. I only kicked it."

I shot Gemma my deathliest stare, then turned back to Principal Chu.

"I'm sorry for Gemma's behaviour. Please give her another chance. I'll make sure she apologizes to the student. And if there's anything I could do to help please let me know," I said, giving her a sheepish smile as if that would fix everything.

Smiles can't fix anything,

Yet here I was ready to do so much to keep Gemma at a school for a year for once, but she would still go on saying I never did anything for her.

"Gemma, could you go wait outside for a while?" Principal Chu asked Gemma, and even though it was phrased as a question, she was not getting a choice.

Gemma stood up from her seat, carelessly shrugging her shoulders. She muttered a whatever then made her way outside the room, abruptly shutting the door behind her.
