Chaos fills the room as the other League agents land on the ground. Argon does not look fazed by this fact. My hands shake as I push myself off of the ground. My injured wrist almost gives out when I do so. A few of Argon's men are tackled to the ground in their attempt to flee. Drake doesn't move an inch from his spot. Argon glances over at him and nods. My eyebrows furrow at the exchange.

Drake reaches into his utility belt and pulls out a smoke grenade. A heavy grey fog slowly engulfs the four of us. Argon and Drake have disappeared from sight once the fog settles.

The water endowed agent pushes himself off of the ground with a grunt. He winces when he turns to face me. He raises an eyebrow once our eyes lock. Survival mode kicks into gear. I wasn't going to give him a chance to capture me.

"Don't let the girl escape!" The League agent shouts a command to his comrades.

Thankfully most of his fellow accomplices are preoccupied, so I am able to escape to one of the hallways. Before exiting the main room I glance over my shoulder, seeing a young woman running toward him. Worry is written on her features. I lose focus on them when I notice two agents on my tail.

"Stop!" An agent yells before I turn into the dark hallway.

The dull yellow glow from fluorescent bulbs is the only light that fills the room. My ears pick up on heavy breathing coming closer.

I glance over my shoulders, noticing the League agents gaining ground. Blood red flames swirl to life in my hands casting distorted shadows against the brick walls. There is just enough distance between the League agents for me to stop running. A smirk forms on my face when they slow down. Both of the agents look surprising young. They couldn't be any older than thirty.

The agent that calls my attention is the one with forest green eyes. He had to tower above my five foot nine frame by at least four inches. My eyes size him up in a quick fashion, flickering down to his hands. Some might have mistaken him for a light endowed instead of an aura endowed. His powers were an advantage that could be used against me. That's why I don't allow them to fully stop.

In a blink of an eye a ball I wind both of my arms back just before thrusting them forward. Two balls of fire fly through the air. The light endowed agent widens his eyes in alarm. He tries to dodge the flames, but fails miserably. His arm catches on fire, stopping him place. He attempts to put out the flames by wildly patting his arm. The aura endowed agent is luckier. A paler forest green force field forms in front of his body.

The agent counters by pushing the shield in my direction. The force barrels toward me at top notch speed, but I knew what to do. This was going to be something of a guessing game. I had a back-up plan just in case my first option failed. I close my eyes and focus on the aura stirring inside of me. This was different than calling out my fire. Aura was soothing and balanced while my fire was wild and unstable at times.

Aura forms into my hands, but I don't open my eyes. My focus was on the energy source I felt coming my way. You see, that was another great thing about being an aura endowed. We have multiple abilities, all thanks to the energy source flowing through our veins.

I see the power of my enemy's force field in my mind. The color was nearly as bright as it was with my eyes open. That said something about his strength, but then again, his aura was no match against mine.

A smirk slowly spreads across my lips just before my eyes open. I keep the smirk on my face as my light brown eyes meet his widened forest green orbs. I don't break eye contact as a glittering neon purple force field with a dark purple edge forms in front of me.
