Sam takes a step forward. The other agents spread out, watching me carefully. My eyes scan past each person to assess who my opponents were. I was at a disadvantage- one against six. Two of the agents were women- one a wind endowed and the other an aura endowed. They I could take on with no problem. The three other agents- now that was a separate case. With a well thought out plan, they'd be easy to take down as well. Argon only trained me against strong men after all.

First the female agents had to be taken care of, and then the men.

"Weak links are used as a distraction my pupil- once they are extinguished, you can focus on the real threat." Argon's wise words play in the back of my thoughts.

Sam and I lock eyes, "Sam- you should know by now that I can accomplish pretty much anything," my hands heat up as deep red flames form around them, "I can easily handle an unfair fight."

Sam's sky blue eyes narrow slightly as water forms in his hands.

"I wish things could have gone differently," he responds sincerely.

His eyes flicker over my shoulder for a split second. He probably didn't think I'd notice the way his chin dipped down a fraction. The movement was not hard to miss to an overly observant individual- that person being me. Without hesitance I spin on my heels and shoot a steady stream of flames at the agent behind me.

The floor trembles and groans as the earth beneath the building shoots up to form a barricade. I twirl back around. The flames form into a whip as a tendril whiplashes toward the female wind endowed agent. Her natural speed gives her plenty enough time to dodge the attack, but then again she was just the distraction.

My left arm rises into the air as my forearm spins counterclockwise. A lasso of flames twirls in the air until I release them at my victim. The aura endowed agent shouts out in pain as the thin thread of flames wrap around her midsection and arms.

The wind endowed agent breezes over to her fallen comrade's side.

"Get her out of here," Sam calls out to the wind endowed agent. She abruptly picks up the inured aura endowed agent and rushes toward the hallway.

My ears pick up a crackling sound- like electricity snapping at the air. The lights above me flicker and the small hairs on my arms begin to rise. The golden-hazel hue of an electric endowed agent's eyes greet mine moments before he attacks. A lightning shaped bolt of electricity slices through the air. I also noticed Sam's hands forming ice in my peripheral vision.

A glimmering force field forms to my right. The electricity hits my shield- cracking it slightly before I thrust my forearm forward. The shield flies toward the electric endowed agent, clipping him in the shoulder. He is distracted, but not out of commission. I had to get Sam out of the picture- he was the real threat. Just before I could shoot an aura sphere at him the earth buckles- shaking underneath my feet.

My stomach drops when I see a mound of earth and a mixture of concrete and wood slices rolling my way. A battle cry leaves my lips as I sprint toward the mass. At the last possible second I jump up. I front flip off of the aura platform I had created and land on the ground gracefully. My eyes slowly rise to meet the terra endowed.

His muddy brown eyes are stunned. My upper lip curls up as if I am about to snarl. I was starting to feel like a caged animal and that made my temper flare. The terra endowed knew I was more than angry, especially with the murderous glint lingering in my eyes.

In a swift movement aura forms into the palm of my left hand. I place my right palm against the back of my left hand and bring my arms forward. My aura discharges through the air, striking the massive chest of the terra endowed agent. A loud thump sounds as his large body hits the ground. Three agents down- three more to go.

Sam, the electric endowed, and another wind endowed entrap me. I wave my hand forward. Sam reacts first. He drives his fist toward my face, but I lean back, and whip around to round house kick him. The wind endowed agent attempts to put me in a stronghold, but ends up failing. He wasn't the only endowed individual with quick reflexes. I ram my elbow back into his gut, causing him to groan. I push him away from me with an aura sphere. Just because they weren't using their powers didn't mean I had to play by their rules.

The electric endowed agent picks up on this and decides to play dirty. Electricity crackles in his clenched fist as he aims it at my abdomen. I twist out of the way right on time. He falls to the ground a moment later. I glance down at him in shock until noticing a dart sticking out of his upper shoulder. My eyebrows are drawn together as my eyes frantically scan the room.

I look up toward the open balcony on the hospitals second floor. My eyes narrow as they greet a younger agent- not much older than me- with a crossbow in his hand. If I was like most girls my age I would have called him handsome. He had a strong jaw, and high cheekbones. His russet brown hair was slightly tousled and dark lashes framed dark brown topaz colored eyes. His eyebrow rises when I throw a steady stream of flames toward him.

Reacting, he lifts his hand up, palm facing forward while taking a deep breath. An orange glow surrounds his hand just before my flames hit their intended target. A hissing sound ensues as my red flames disintegrate into thin air. I should have known my attack wouldn't work- this agent was a fire endowed like me and a prepared one at that. Exhaustion sweeps over me quickly and I know the likelihood of me escaping is becoming slim to none.

I don't really put up too much fight when Sam's cold arm wraps around my neck. My back hits a hard surface as he pins me. I feel him nod his head. My expression hardens as the fire endowed agent loads another tranquilizer dart into the crossbow. I feel the slight prick of the dart in my upper arm seconds later. My body immediately becomes slack as my entire body weight leans against Sam who starts guiding my body toward the ground.

"You aren't going anywhere- anymore," his gruff voice sounds near my ear before my vision begins to fade.

Soon my back is lying against the ground. My body feels drained of energy as the tranquilizer dart takes its toll. The last memory I have before blacking out is Sam looming over me. I glare up at him as he smiles confidently down at me, taunting me with an 'I told you so' look. I hear him order the fire endowed on the balcony before déjà vu hits me.

Hope you guys enjoyed reading this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it! This is the last chapter with heavy action sequences for a while. The next chapter I will be introducing a vital key character to the story. Can't wait to introduce them to you!

Next update will be this coming Wednesday if everything goes to plan. So stay tuned! :)
