In my unconscious stupor my brain tried to decipher the two shadowy figures standing by the hole at the warehouse. My mind wrapped around a theory, but there was no way it was possible. Argon would have never left me behind. Unless I had disgraced him, in which I sort of did. The only conclusion was that he left me alone to pay for the consequences of what happened back at the warehouse.

He left me to fend for myself. Then again he once did threaten to give me to the League a long time ago. Was I that much of a disgrace? Had I not pleased him by defeating all of those agents? Maybe it was a good thing I was getting punished. This was another test to make me stronger; there was no doubt about it.

The test begins as soon as I wake up. A light beeping sound comes from beside me. My eyes flutter open, drifting heavily toward a monitor. I was in uncharted territory behind enemy lines. To be honest I thought I'd be in a basement at a private facility where they'd torture me for information. Yet, here I was- a hospital room. I take in my surroundings, every single detail.

The walls are stark white while the ceiling is a pale blue. A small round table is situated next to a navy blue lounge chair in the left corner of the room. The crease in my arm feels a little cold. My eyes narrow at the IV sticking into my arm. For all I knew they were drugging me or killing me slowly. I snort quietly when my eyes land on simple handcuffs restraining my wrists to the bed. I couldn't believe how naïve they were.

I had the chance to explain their stupidity as soon as the door ahead of me cracks open. A light flashes outside in the hallway a second later. An unrecognizable man walks into my room. His eyes though, those seemed oddly familiar. The man shuts the door behind him before facing me. He sees the judging look in my eyes and smiles smugly, "your accusations are right." He begins, his smile fading, "My name is Sam, but you can call me Agent Remington."

I remain quiet, staring at him coolly. He takes my silence as an opportunity to continue speaking.

"I don't know how old you truly are... but I can assume that you're at least 16," my eyes roll at that, "Ah so I'm right. You are very easy to read by the way."

"You're so proud being so powerful at such a young age. I for one am quite surprised," he says placing a hand flat on his chest, "you took down four of my co-workers-not an easy feat I must add." He chuckles for a moment I raise my eyebrow at him. Was he losing it? "Not to mention all the damage you did to me. You want to see your handy work?" he asks

I blinked at him with a blank expression. The corners of his lips tilt up as if he was going to smile. He shrugs. Without saying another word he lifts up his dark grey t-shirt to reveal a six-packed abdomen.

Purplish-blue bruises littered his skin. Some of them had a green hue. How I caused damage with my fists to someone like Agent Remington beat me. I just continue staring at him. He was trying to get me to talk, but his tactic wasn't going to work.

"Don't give yourself all the credit. Argon hit me a few times too you know," he reminds me.

Yet again, he was starting to annoy me.

"So what" I grumble, "you know I'm not going to talk to you."

He chuckles, "you're talking to me right now," he adds with a confident smirk plastered on his face.

I scoff at him, "I am only going to tell you that you might as well give up. Argon told me all about you guys. I'm smarter than you realize."

Sam purses his lips as if he was thinking long and hard.

"I don't doubt that you are strong Chloe, well-established even. I've only encountered a couple admixes similar to yourself. I find it quite strange that Argon finds endowed individuals with one power inferior, when he himself has only one power."

"It's quite ironic actually. Then here you are- possessing two powers, yet he beats you when you fail. I just don't get, and you take the abuse which is worrisome on our end. You've been taking abuse from him for a while now," he states with a stern expression, "our doctors have estimated that you've taken eight years of physical harm. How can you let him do that to you?"

My eyes narrow at him. He didn't get it, nobody at this establishment would. They did not know what gaining back honor was.

"I deserve it. That's why."

Sam's eyes change to a darker shade of blue, "why do you deserve that kind of torture?" his voice is hard, angry even, "you're just a young girl."

I sigh, explaining this to him was going to gain another outburst. Then again I had a plan set in motion.

"I dis-honor him, but I'm gaining that honor back."

Sam's neatly trimmed blonde eyebrows furrow, "and how exactly are going to do that...?"

A mischievous smirk forms on my lips, "by doing this of course," I boast with confidence.

He doesn't calculate my answer in his head fast enough. My energy was back in full swing. I yank my wrist upward. The chain links from the cuffs shatter and clink to the floor. I rip the IV out of my arm. Aura surrounds my hands becoming solid matter. A curtain wraps itself around Sam as I blast him to the wall. I jump out of the bed before sauntering over to him with a wry grin on my face. His eyes widen in absolute shock.

"Normal handcuffs won't contain me. My honor will be restored today by stealing League blueprints. Argon's main goal is to take over the League, and I'm going to help him succeed."

I splay my fingers out. The curtain of aura presses him into the wall harder with every step I take. He winces at the pain. I stop only three feet away from him. I tilt my head up smirking. His expression changes from shock to disbelief. Did he really think I'd just sit and play nice?

"Good riddance Agent Remington- it was a pleasure knowing you," I snicker.

So I decided to update another chapter tonight. I wanted to make it up to you guys for not updating last Wednesday. Plus I was super excited to upload this chapter. I had a lot of fun writing/editing it.

Chloe, on the other hand, is quite something. I hope this chapter showed that Argon really has twisted her into a miniature him, maybe not as malicious, but she could get there in time. I wanted to showcase her allegiance to him while being away from him.

I'll be updating another chapter this Wednesday, maybe two if I have time to edit them. I'll be at a friend's wedding later this week, so I won't be able to update Sunday.

Till next time! :)
