Jumping through a hole filled with smoke might not have been the best idea. The setting sun casts bright orange and red streaks across the sky. My mistake was made known after my eyes adjusted to the brighter light. A forty foot gap separates my feet from the ground. Warm air caresses my skin as I fly through the air. At this point my eyes close. A euphoric feeling calms me down.

Aura begins to stir within me and spreads throughout my veins. I know what to do as soon as my eyes reopen. Neon purple aura disperses from my hands creating solid platforms suspended in the air. My feet touch down onto the first platform. I glance over my shoulder to see the water endowed agent jump out of the hole. My gut plummets. This guy was serious about catching me. Most would have given up by now.

I form three more platforms, leaping from one to the next until I am on the ground. The metal junkyard was just within my reach. I glance over my shoulder once more to check on my pursuer. If we had met under different circumstances I would have been quite impressed. A slide of ice was attached to the hole in the warehouse.

The agent rides the ice until meeting the ground. We make brief eye contact before I bolt toward the metal maze ahead. This was where I planned on losing him. Argon used this exact same maze to test me on escaping from an enemy in close quarters. The scrapyard had taught me how to use my senses only. In the maze you were blind since metal piles rose into the air by twenty feet.

The female agent from earlier suddenly appears out of thin air. The gravel crunches underneath my feet when I stop mid-run. My eyes narrow at her hands, noticing the grey glow before the aura disappears. The water endowed agent's mind must have been connected to hers through apperception.

The mental process an aura endowed mediates to link their mind to another person. I slowly run my eyes over her. She is quite petite for an aura endowed, even though she couldn't be shorter than me by much. Her straight dark brown hair drapes past her shoulders. Her guarded pearly grey eyes meet mine. The slightest smirk forms on my face.

"Chloe" a deep yet strong voice makes me turn around, "We don't want to hurt you- just turn yourself in. You can't escape."

His hands are raised and outstretched in front of him. A scoff and eye roll is my response.

"Right- not even after all I've done to you and your comrades." I say as a matter of fact. "Well guess what- League scum- that isn't going to happen as long as I'm alive," I finish through gritted teeth.

A massive aura sphere forms in front of my palm. I shoot the energy at him hoping to knock him off balance before taking out his friend. Unfortunately he had fast reflexes. Instead of dodging a steady stream of water is shot at me obliterates my aura sphere. I dig my feet into the ground, bracing myself for impact. The water crashes into me. My feet slight back into the gravel a couple feet, but my stance doesn't change.

The agent's eyes widened with regret at first before he realized the water didn't affect me. Shock was written over his features. This was a prime moment for me to take him out. I don't hold anything back when the burgundy flames fly off of my hands in a steady stream. The powerful flames slam into the center of his chest knocking him back.

"SAM" his companions high-pitched voice cries out panicked. Ah, so that's his name.

In complete honesty I forgot she was even behind me. When I turn around she is glowering at me.

"You're poor behavior will not be tolerated little girl!" She shouts at me murderously.

An emerald aura sphere forms into hand. The energy flares, blinding me for a split second. My eyes narrow when she runs toward me after shooting the aura sphere at me. A small force field forms in front of me which causes the aura to bounce back toward her. She twirls out of the way. In the next second her body makes contact with mine. We both fall to the ground, wrestling to gain control.

My back presses against the gravel that digs into my exposed skin. She throws her clenched fist toward my face. I tilt my head to the side, missing the punch by a split second. Frustration was growing in the pit of my being. I should have been with Argon by now. My heart burns as anger forms. When the opportunity rises I break free from her grasp by kneeing her in the abdomen. She grunts at the impact. She falls to my side before rolling back to a standing position, but she was too late.

Flames encased with aura have already formed around my clenched fists. Her strength is nothing compared to mine. Her eyes widen in horror just before my combo smashes into her abdomen. She flies back into a metal wall. She cries out in pain before her body lands on the ground- motionless.

"Cassidy- NO!"

My stomach drops at the temperature change in the air. My breathing becomes shallow when I turn around. Sam is standing in a battle stance.

"Enough is enough!" He shouts, his voice shaking with anger.

Normally bright sky blue eyes have darkened to an indigo. A ball of ice has formed in-between his hands.

"It's over" he growls as his hand begin to glow blue.

A thin film of water forms around the ball of ice just before he thrusts his hands forward. I am in too much shock to react. Sharp pain forms in the center of my chest before my body lands on the ground. My body tumbles across the ground in the opposite direction of his partner. My vision begins to blur as my body trembles. My eyes land on the hole in the warehouse before I pass out. Two dark figures stand in the shadow of the building. Confusion sweeps over me before darkness swallows me whole.

Hello everyone! Sorry for the delay in the updates.  I hope you enjoyed reading this chapter! I'd also love to hear what you guys thought.

I also need some help. I've been researching which actress or model Cassidy would look like, but I haven't found anyone. If somebody pops into your mind, feel free to let me know. I'd love to know who you guys choose.

Look no further! I have chosen, with the help from BEAUT1FULdreamer, that Lyndsey Fonesca is closest to what Cassidy looks like. Her picture is up above. What do ya think?
