Meg hurries to find Christine, now knowing that he is coming. After 30 minutes of searching Meg finds her in the one place she never wanted to go to again. She stared in horror as the memories of that night on the dock come flying back into her mind. She just broke down in tears as she sank to the ground. Christine came running trying to comfort her.
"I'm....sorry.....Christine.....I.... never...meant....too..." Meg hiccups through sobs
"Sshhhh. It's ok, I know you didn't mean too." Christine said trying to calm her down
"He...is.....coming.." Meg hiccups
"Really!?" Christine asks
"Yes.....mother...called...him." Meg replies still upset
"Come Meg I have to go find him." Christine exclaims
Meg just smiles and hurries to catch up with Christine. Grateful to get out of that place. They made it back faster than Meg had ever seen Christine go. She had always been one for walking, but not this time, she was full blown running so she could be there before he got there. Christine was eager to see him. Then all these negative thoughts came to her. What if he didn't want her anymore? What if he didn't recognize her? What about Gustave? But when a carriage pulled up all those thoughts went away. All she wanted was to see her Erik and her little Gustave again.
"Who was so important that you had to call me down here Madam Giry? Meg who are you hiding behind you?" He asks confused
Christine wasn't ready for Meg to move away from her. Meg moved so fast Christine fell.
"Ahhhh!!! Owww!!!" Christine says after she falls.
Erik rushes forward and asks
"Are you alright?"
"Yes." Christine replies her voice cracking.
She keeps her head down towards the ground, her curly brunette hair falling over her face. Erik looks confused and then scared. He sinks to the ground crying.
"No, my Christine is dead, she died in my arms. What game are you playing Giry!?" Erik screams
"No, this is not how I wanted this to go. Darling it's me. Please don't cry. Oh my angel of music. Don't cry." Christine says trying to calm him down
"Father, why are yo......" Gustave gets out of the carriage trying to find out why his father is crying.
He runs to Christine knocking her over, bringing Erik with them.
"MOTHER!!!!!" Gustave screams
"Oh my little Gustave. You are alright." Christine exclaims
"HOW MOTHER, HOW, WHY DID YOU LEAVE!?" Gustave questions
"I didn't mean too my baby, I didn't mean too. I was stuck in the hospital in a coma. I really don't know how I survived!" Christine explains between sobs.
"My Christine." Erik sobs
"Who knows when love begins
Who knows what makes it start
One day it's simply there alive inside your heart
It slips into you thoughts
It infiltrates your soul
And takes you by surprise then seizes full control
Try to deny it and try to protest
Love won't let you go
Once you've been possessed." Christine sings.
Erik and Gustave starts singing with her
"Love never dies
Love never alters
Once it has spoken
Love is yours."
They stopped singing and hugged each other till Meg told them it was starting to get cold.
