Third person p.o.v
Jack was visiting today. Darcy couldn't wait to tell him the good news. She just hoped he'd be happy about it. She walks down the familiar halls to the visitation room, Dr. Ackles trailing behind her. He opened the door, letting Darcy walk in first. Jack sat at the table, a bright smile on his face. She sat down infront of him as Dr. Ackles closed the door behind him - there was a nurse inside the room with them - she smiled at her husband.
"Hi," she said.
"Hi," he replied back.
"I have some amazing news," she said excitedly. He eyes brighten more if possible.
"What is it?" He asked bouncing slightly in his seat.
"I'm pregnant!" She cheered throwing her hands in the air with a huge smile on her face.
"That's great!" He smiled, but his smile soon fell. "But you'll be here for the first few months of your pregnancy," he said with a frown on his face.
"I know. I'll ask if you can join me during my appointment though and I wont ask about the gender until I'm home," she assured.
"I know it's just- I don't wanna miss anything," he said sadly.
"You wont, by the time anything important should happen I'll be home, plus you can visit almost everyday now," she smiled at him. He nodded and stood from his chair. He walked over and hugged her tightly, but not too tight. He pulled away and pecked her lips.
"I love you,"
"I love you too," she smiled. They sat back in their seats and continued talking. "How's Delilah?"
"She surely misses you, it's a lot harder to get her to do things like getting her to sleep, but other than that she's fine," he said.
"Next time can you bring her? I miss my baby girl," she asked.
"Of course I will," he smiled. "Your sister is absolutly adorable, I love her name too,"
"I know, me too. My mun was gonna name me Avianna but dad kept begging to name me Darcy," she laughed. "My friend Alison gave me the nickname Ace. I think it's pretty cool. I call her Ali,"
"I'm glad you have friends here,"
"Yea, this old guy, Earl, gets kind of lost sometimes. A little while ago he asked me about his dog, skittles, and told me he was 7 years old," she said.
"Poor guy," he said. They continued to talk.
-
They hugged as Jack was told to leave. Darcy quickly pecked his lips before saying her finale goodbye. Jack lifted her shirt and kissed her stomach, where their baby was. He kisssed her lips one last time.
"I love you both," he said.
"We love you too," she smiled. Dr. Ackles pointed towards the clock before Jack pulled away.
"I'll see you soon, baby," he said.
"Bye," she waved. He left the building and Dr. Ackles walked her to the cafeteria. She sat in her usual seat but Alison wasn't there.
"Where's Alison?" She asked.
"She has therpy and had an early lunch," Dr. Ackles told her. She nodded and began eatig the food handed to her. A girl with bright purple hair, who Darcy had learned her name was Ryan, walked over to her table.
"I heard Alison wasn't here and thought you could use a friend until she gets back," the girl said nervously playing with her fingers.
"Thank you for thinking about me, please sit," Darcy replied. Ryan sat down carefully before looking around the room. She pulled her sleeves down shyly. "How are you?"
"I'm OK, I guess," she said. "How 'bout you?"
"I'm great," Darcy smiled.
"How can you be so cheerful in a place like this?" Ryan asked with confusion.
"I just got some really great news,"
"You gettin' out early?"
"No," Darcy said.
"Than what can be so great to make you this happy?" Ryan asked.
"I'm pregnant," Darcy said excitedly.
"Who'd you sleep with? Aren't you married?"
"The day before I came here, me and my husband said an intimate goodbye," she blushed.
"That's great than. Good for you," Ryan smiled. "Most people wouldn't want to pregnant while they're in here, so why is this a good thing for like right now?"
"Well umm... before I came here I had a miscarriage because of my anorexia, the baby basically starved to death and I felt like shit when I first found out, but this is my second chance, ya know?" Darcy said.
"I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage," Ryan said with a frown.
"It's alright, I mean I can't change the past," she shrugged her shoulders lightly. Ryan nodded and they continued eating their lunch.
-
Darcy walked down the halls, trailing her fingers along the walls, just thinking.
Thinking about how different her life woild have been if Joseph had never taken her that night. She wouldn't have Delilah and she probably would have went to uni. She most likely never would have met Jack that night when she went out with her friend, Dakota. She would never have needed to talk to her about why she had been gone.
So, in a way she kind of has to thank Joesph. She never would have been who she is today if he was never part of her story. She never would have had to go trough the lose of Xavier. But she still wouldn't be who she is now.
She continued down the hall until she came to the door of her room. She opened the door and closed it behind her, without looking inside.
"Hey Ali, how wa-" she began to say before turning around. She screamed at what she saw in the room. " Oh my god," she cried as she watched her friend swing back and fourth on a rope around her neck.
