Darcy stood infront of her mirrior admiring the small bump that had formed between her hips. She placed a loving hand across her stomach with a content sigh.

"I hope your nice and warm in there beebee jelly bean," she said sweetly using the nickname she had given the baby a few days ago. "Auntie Ali would have spoiled you rotten. You know I'm naming you after her. If you're a boy though, your middle name will be Alison. Your sister is named after the guy that had saved us from the bad man. You have a brother too but he's not with us anymore, you won't understand until you're older but that's OK," she sighed happily. "I can't wait to see you today, daddy's gonna be here too. Mommy loves you beebee jelly bean," she pulled her shirt down and notice how it slightly tighten on her new baby bump. She walked out of the bathroom and into the halls. She walked down until she came to Dr. Ackles office.

"How are you feeling?" He asked as she walked into the room.

"Weird cravings, sore feet and back, ya know the usual pregnancy stuff," she replied.

"Well your husband should be here any minute. How's the morning sickness?"

"A bit better but still there," she said. There was a knock on the door.

"Come in!" Dr. Ackles said loudly. Jack walked through the door and closed it behind him.

"Hey," he smiled.

"Hey," Darcy replied happily.

"I heard about Alison, I'm sorry for your lose," he said towards Dr. Ackles.

"Thank you. Now let's see how this baby is doing, shall we?" He said. They all walked out of the office and into the ultrasound room. Darcy laid on the bed and pulled up her shirt. She pushed her pants a bit lower than her hips. Dr. Ackles squeezed the cold gel onto her stomach before grabbing the wand. He moved it around her stomach.

"Will we hear a heart beat?" Darcy asked curiously.

"You might but you're only about 9 weeks," Dr. Ackles replied. A blob, bigger than last time, appeared on the screen. It started looking less like a jelly bean and more like a baby.

"They've gotten big," Darcy said in awe.

"Yup, their nearly an inch long - about the size of a grape - and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. They're starting to look more and more human. Their essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form - as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks. Their eyes are fully formed, but their eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. They has tiny earlobes, and their mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, the baby is gonna start gaining weight more rapidly," Dr. Ackles explained.
