This day started like every other;
Peter woke up, got dressed, and went to his ping pong table.
The now seventeen year old mutant stretched, glancing at the card over on his bedside stand: 'Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.' There wasn't a day that went by where he regretted not going. Why had he gone with them a year ago? Why hasn't he talked to his father?
He felt so frustrated with himself. His little sister ran down the stairs, tugging at his shirt. "Peetie, Peetie! Won't you come outside and play with me!" She said excitedly. His little sister happened to not be a mutant. This left him all alone. He sighed. "Yeah, I'm on my way." He said in response, following her up the stairs.
This day was just like the rest. Always was. Never different. Always the same. Nothing changed nothing new..
His head hurt. It usually did. If you had to fix two different speeds in your head, your head would hurt too. Superspeed wasn't as amazing as it sounded.
He went outside, playing a game of strange soccer with his little sister (because she didn't really know how to play), before he picked her up and put her on his shoulder. "Got ya!" He exclaimed. She squealed, messing with his silver hair.
He stopped laughing as he saw a car stop. So it isn't a really normal day was it? He frowned a bit and sat his little sister down. "Go on inside."
He said, ushering her back. She pouted but did as her big brother said.
None other than Hank McCoy stepped out of the car. "Long time no see." Hank said, approaching the silver haired mutant. "Dang, I'm surprised you're not in jail!" Peter said, extending a hand. "You too." Hank responded, shaking it.
"What're you doing here?" Peter asked. "Just wanted to know if you did want to at least try out the school. We have spots open ya know." Hank replied.
Peter sighed. "It's not that simple to just pick up and leave around here." That though, wasn't his full reasoning. The other part was Magneto. Erik probably would visit the place sometime. He didn't want to be there. He'd probably panic and say something he shouldn't. Why hadn't he just said anything at the Pentagon?
