M I C H A E LIt had been nearly an hour by now, and we were starting to get bored. Ella and Calum were sitting on their bed's, playing games on their phones. I however, was on my laptop searching up different ways to escape a hotel.
"Do you think we could climb down the fire escape? I mean, I know its a stretch, but-" I started before I was interrupted by Calum.
"Isn't that illegal?" He asked, looking over in my direction. I just shrugged my shoulders and shut the lid of my laptop. I dramatically tumbled out of my chair and onto the floor with a groan.
"There has to be something we can do!" I said in an exasperated tone. The boredom was starting to get to me. All of a sudden I was struck in the head by something soft. I looked up to see Ella with a pillow in hand, grinning down at me. I laughed before snatching the pillow from her grasp and chasing her around the hotel room.
"You guys are such children, my gosh." Calum said shaking his head. I stopped chasing Ella and instead turned to him. I chucked the pillow at his face and ran for it. Before I knew it, all three of us were jumping on the beds and throwing pillows at each other. At one point, Ella threw the pillow so hard, that I tumbled off the bed.
We carried on like this until we heard knocks at the door. All horse play ceased, as we walked over to the door. I looked out the peep hole to see a large man with broad shoulders. His shirt said 'security' in large letters. I unlocked all of the locks that were on the door, and slowly opened it up.
"Ah, Mr. Clifford. We were able to clear everyone out of the hotel, so you are safe to go. I would lay low for a while just in case though." The man said, before giving us a nod and turning on his heel in the other direction.
I shut the door and let out a sigh of relief. It was good to know that we could actually leave the hotel now.
"Alright, I say we go to the mall. But, in some better disguises." I said looking everyone up and down. Calum and Ella nodded before walking to their suitcases and grabbing something to change into.
I wore a Green Day singlet and black skinny jeans. I also put on a beanie and a pair of sunglasses. I turned to Calum and Ella to see what they had thrown together. Ella was wearing black leggings and one of Calum's sweatshirts, which was way too big for her. Calum was wearing a plain black v-neck and skinny jeans. He also wore a pair of sunglasses.
Once everyone was ready, we headed to the lobby. There were no longer screaming fans roaming the halls, and we knew it was safe to go. We decided to ask if we could exit through the back because there could still be people waiting outside the front.
Calum called a cab, and soon we we were on our way to the mall. We arrived shortly, and climbed our way out of the cab. With our heads down, we entered the mall. We looked at the directory and headed to Forever 21.
Ella went over to the girl's section, while Calum and I looked at some jeans.
"Do you think Ella will ever talk to us?" Calum asked suddenly.
"What?" I asked, taken aback by his question.
"Like, do you think she'll ever trust us enough to talk? I don't know, I've just been thinking about it lately." Calum said, looking at a t-shirt.
"Well, I'm not sure if it's a trust thing, but I'm confident that she'll talk to us eventually. I guess we just have to give these things time." I said looking over at Calum, nodding reassuringly.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to face Ella. She had a bright smile and a few articles of clothing adorned her arms. She pointed over towards the dressing rooms, signaling for us to come with her. Calum and I grabbed a few things to try on and followed her.
We each went into a dressing room. I changed quickly into ripped skinny jeans and a white t-shirt that said "IDIOT" in big capital letters. I stepped out of the dressing room to be met with Calum, who wore black skinny jeans and a NASA shirt. We laughed at each other and checked ourselves out in the mirror.
Ella walked out moments later in a white skater dress and a blue bomber jacket. She smiled at us and looked at her appearance. We took silly pictures in the mirror and tried on other outfits. Once we were satisfied with our choices, we went to the register and checked out.
Calum and I wanted to head to Hot Topic, so Ella followed us there. Calum wanted to try a few things on, so Ella and I sat patiently waiting for Calum to come out.
Ella was immersed with something on her phone, smiling every once and a while. I took a little peek and saw the name at the top of the screen. The name read 'Caleb' with a purple heart emoji next to it.
"Ooooohhh, does Ella have a boyfriend?" I teased. She tilted her phone away from me as her cheeks reddened, a grin forming on her face. Calum came out before she had a chance to react any farther. We turned our attention to him, as I started giggling hysterically when I saw him.
He had a 5sos t-shirt on and a bunch of the 5sos bracelets. He struck silly poses and pretended to be a fanboy. Ella smiled even wider and snapped a picture on her phone. My phone began buzzing in my pocket and I saw Ashton's caller ID pop up. I slid to answer and pressed the phone to my ear.
"Hello?" I asked into the phone.
"Hey Michael, it's Ash. We're going to be heading back to the hotel. You guys should had back as well, we have reservations at a nice restaurant tonight to celebrate the start of our mini tour." Ashton told me over the phone.
"Okay, sounds good." I said quickly, looking over at Ella and Calum who were striking poses in front of the mirror.
"Feels good." Ashton whispered over the phone. I rolled my eyes and hung up the phone.
