Blue Moon Goddess

Chapter 1.

16 YEARS LATER~~~~

SHANTAL'S POV~
"Princess, are you awake yet?" I melodic voice questioned from outside my door. I turned over with a groan and pulled my blankets over my head not wanting to be bothered.
"You have to wake up Princess, everyone does." The same voice spoke to me trying once again to awaken me from my deep sleep. I sat up and let out a loud and low growl from within my throat.
"We have breakfast waiting." Sophie told me through the door just as the sweet smell of bacon and eggs wafted to my nose as I inhaled deeply. I got up and opened the door letting Sophie through before jumping back on my bed sitting cross legged and awaiting my meal.
"You're favorite Princess." Sophie said setting a plate down in front of me full of delicious smelling food. I felt my canines grow as I picked up the bacon and scarfed it down.
"You must be well fed and strong for tomorrow Princess." Sophie stated digging through my closet tossing dresses around. I swallowed the rest of my food and got up to set the empty plate on the dresser then walking over to Sophie.
"I told you to stop calling me Princess, just call me Shantal." I growled stepping into the bathroom and brushing my teeth taking extra time to go over my sharp canines a few more times.
"Shantal, Shantal let your hair down." I heard a masculine voice ring through my bedroom causing a smile to come to my face immediately.
"Alec!!" I yelled running to hug him catching him slightly of guard before he wrapped his arms around me returning my tight hug.
"I'm guessing you missed me then?" He asked smirking down at me since I was much shorter then the hulking mass of man named Alec.
"I was so bored, plus it's my birthday tomorrow, I thought you were going to miss it." I stated pouting out my bottom lip and staring up into his eyes. He smiled down and kissed my forehead then looked up and smiled at Sophie who stood in front of us holding the empty plate.
"Morning ma'am." Alec smiled politely at Sophie as she return it happily.
"It's good to have you back Alexander,Shantal wouldn't shut up about you all week." She smirked at me then back to Alec before exiting my room and leaving me with a smirking Alec as I felt my face heat up. Alec bent down and kissed my shoulder then walked out of my room shutting the door behind him leaving me alone once again.
"He is not our mate, stop trying to have him!" My wolf screamed at me from inside my head making me roll my eyes at her.
"I know he isn't our mate, he is just my best friend nothing more." I said walking back into the bathroom and stripping out of my pajamas before jumping into the shower and bathing myself quickly. I walked back out of the bathroom and threw on the elegant pink dress that Sophie had set out for me. I pulled a brush through my blue hair letting it cascade down my back as it quickly dried thanks to my gifts.
"Mate! Our mate is near I can sense him!!!" My wolf yelled bounding inside me begging to be set free to run to our "mate". I know my body understands when our "mate" is around but my wolf has been yelling this crap at me everyday for the last week.
"We don't have a mate yet stupid girl, we will be mated tomorrow when I turn 18." I said rolling my eyes once again at her/my stupidity. I looked in my full length mirror ignoring the constant yells from my wolf begging to be put in control. I looked down my petite body hating the way the pink dress looked on me, after about 10 minutes of staring at myself I decided on undressing and instead I slipped back into my pajamas and curled up on bed letting sleep drag me to another world.

DREAM~
"Do you remember me?" A female voice asked stepping towards me as I squinted trying to catch a glimpse of her  features through the dark that surrounded us.
"I don't know, I can't see you." I replied stepping towards the unknown woman trying once again to see her but failing again.
"You haven't thought about me since you were just a pup." She whispered looking down as I noticed long black hair cascade down her head to cover her tan faced.
"I gave you the gift you have been neglecting." The woman said sounding slightly angry as she looked up to reveal the one face I never thought I would see myself.
"Moon Goddess." I breathed out hardly believing what was standing clearly in front of me.
"Yes Princess, I gave you a gift 16 years ago, and it's time you use it." She stepped closer to me inspecting my body and swirling a peace of my blue hair in her thin fingers. I stepped back about half a a normal foot step and the Moon Goddess released my hair but kept her eyes glued to my own.
"You're so beautiful, your body has accepted the gift and embraced it, you must do the same child." She smiled as tears brimmed her eyes threatening to spill down her pink tinted cheeks. I looked up confused by the woman in front of me but oddly comfortable in her presence.
"Why are you crying Goddess?" I questioned staring into her black eyes searching for an answer to all my questions but finding none.
"I have completed my job my dear, you must protect your species now." She smiled once again as tears escaped her eyes and slid down her cheeks and dropped onto the white snow under our feet.
"But Goddess.." I began but she quickly cut me off with a raise of her hand to silence me.
"I am no longer a Goddess child, but you are." She smiled wiping her tears away with a graceful movement. I gave her a questioning look and she simply smiled in return.
"Good bye, Blue Moon Goddess." She smiled sadly as the world around me swirled away and was replaced by the plush green of my blanket that was wrapped securely around my petite body. I jumped up and looked over to my clock seeing that it was no longer the 25th, i closed my eyes relaxing my racing mind and focusing on one thing. Today was my 18th birthday. Today I would be mated.
"Shantal we need to get you out of here!" Alec yelled rushing to me and lifting me up with ease, I felt a light weight on my stomach and looked to see the my little kitty Blue Bells had jumped on my scared by the sudden burst from Alec. (Yes I am a wolf-blood that has a kitten, she was bitten when she was born so she drinks blood only, easy to take care of but still adorable.)
"Alec what's going on?!" I questioned loudly right as a burst of smoke entered the room from the window shatter a glass vase that had sat on my desk. My mind reeled and my eyes widened as unwanted memories flashed through my mind.
