Chapter 15.

NIALL'S POV~
I let out a loud growl as Shantal vanished completely, I just lost her again! I turned and paced in circles throwing my head around and letting out snarls constantly.
"Why did you let her go?!" I screamed at the woman in front of me watching her lips turn up into a smirk at my uncontrollable anger.
"You are not ready for her, she has much to learn as do you. You must learn to control your anger before she will accept you for what you are." The woman said in an oddly soothing voice, as she spoke I felt my anger diminish and be replaced with relaxation. Being near her seemed to take over my body and send calmness through me.
"Who are you?" I asked starting to grow angry one more but also starting to feel drowsy as my eyelids began getting heavier and harder to keep open. I blinked roughly a couple of times to rid them of the sudden tiredness but still they stayed heavy and tired.
"I am her mother, I am the one that gave her the powers she bestows, I am also the one that brought you here. So watch the way you speak to me!" She snapped her calm demeanor vanishing in an instant and I saw aggravation flash in her eyes. I felt almost bad for being such an asshole to her and I finally let my guard down and took a deep breath, I exhaled and looked back up to her again in a submissive way. I don't know why I did this but I felt as though she was dominate over me.
"Much better, now I must go and watch over my daughter, you need to learn to control yourself before you try to find her again." She stated sending me a warm smile as if she knew something I didn't know.
"I will, thank you for bringing me here." I bowed feeling the sleep start to take over my body and this time I let it, I no longer tried to rid myself of the growing tiredness in me and now I let it take over and drag me to my stomach then down even farther into the most peaceful sleep I had in my life.

SHANTAL'S POV~
I jumped up and scrambled to my feet tripping over Lillee as I stumbled away from the tree line.
"What's wrong?" Lillee as me in a groggy voice as she sat up slowly and rubbed her eyes roughly to rid them of the sleep.
"Niall, he's close." I stated out of breath as if I had been running. My heart was beating out of my chest and my mind was racing with what had just happened.
"What?! Everyone up now!!" Lillee yelled getting up and shaking Harry up as well. She raced from place to place and grabbed everything we needed but everyone else was still just awakening.
"What the fuck are you yelling for??" Louis grumbled loudly flipping over and trying to go back to sleep but instead he just earned a loud slap from Hailey for having such an attitude.
"Tomlinson get your ass up now we are leaving this place and getting somewhere safe!!" I yelled this time since he was the only one still trying to sleep. Moments later he seemed to have gotten the point and got up with everyone else and helped grab things till there was no proof that we every slept here. In about 30 minutes we were on our way again heading towards the trees at a fast pace, I didn't tell anyone exactly what had happened because I knew they would flip out worse than I was currently.
"Are we just gonna keep wandering around the damn forest for the rest of time?" Harry grumbled to Lillee most likely thinking I couldn't hear him since he still didn't know everything about what I could do.
"I don't know but it is all up to Shantal, she is the pack leader." Lillee stated confidently, her voice slightly louder than Harry's was since she wasn't trying to hide what she said.
"Well I am tired of wandering aimlessly through the dark and only stopping every 2 days to sleep and eat! She has no idea where she is going and we are all just following her without a second though!" Harry whisper yelled growing more and more impatient by the second. I rolled my eyes at his comments but couldn't help by let out a small cough from in my throat.
"I know where I am going." I stated not turning to look at him but I could feel the way his body tensed up behind me.
"Where are we going then?" Hailey asked from farther behind me, she was probably getting hungry again since she always gets the least amount of meat at our dinners. I felt bad for him because she is the smallest so she usually gets trampled on when we move in to eat so she only really gets the small scraps that we leave behind after we are all filled up.
"I don't know honestly." I smiled then stopped when I realized she couldn't see my face considering she was behind me. I heard Harry scoff and that's when I did turn slightly enough to shoot him a hard glare before turning back the way I was walking.
"How does that make sense? You said you know where your going then said you don't?!" Louis asked sounding confused as hell and I just let out a small giggle at the tone of his voice.
"I know which way to go thanks to the Goddess, but I don't know exactly where she is leading us." I stated hoping that they would understand as well as I did in my head. After that everything went silent again, this wasn't and awkward silence though, it was comfortable because we had all grown oddly close in the 3 weeks we had been gone, besides Harry he has only been with us for about 4 days now.
"Princess wait, I smell something." Liam stated speaking for the first time in a long while now, I had almost forgotten that he was with us since he had been so silent lately.
"What is it?" Hailey asked crouching to a defence position right away in case it was danger.
"It smells like....... home." Liam said before racing forward and disappearing farther in front of us. We all started running and only stopped when we broke free of the trees and was greeted by the warm sun shining on us and a village of people staring straight at us.
"Shantal! We are here! This is were I grew up, this is were I was trained to protect you!" Liam yelled excitedly as he jumped and leaped in the air happily letting people run to him and pouncing on him. Everyone here seemed so happy to see Liam. That's when it hit me like a brick in the face, all these people were Liam's pack, his real pack.
"Liam why have you brought these foul smelling strangers into our safety camp?!" A large voice boomed making me jump slightly and let out a short snarl. I turned to where the voice came from and was met with a tall man walking towards us with a look of disgust on his face. The look he gave me made anger well up in my stomach, no one should ever look at royalty like that, I deserved respect.
"They are not strangers general, they helped protect the princess on our long journey from the vampires castle to here." Liam stated now sounding oddly serious as he stood tall and strong, he poofed out his dirty and furred chest making him look much older than he was. That's when I realized that this tall man was in charge of the golden wolves, I also realized that he had no idea who I was since everyone was caked in thick mud and my fur wasn't clean or shown anymore.
"The princess??? Where is she?!" The general asked quickly looking around us as if to see some elegant girl walking through the trees with a long silky dress flowing around her.
"I am the princess sir, good to meet you." I stated proudly and copying Liam's posture to look bigger and older.
"You? As if, your just a dirty mutt." The general scoffed at me like I had said something crazy. Once again I felt angry, this man had been disrespectful to me twice and I had only met him 2 minutes ago, who does he think he is to treat me this way? I am royalty and it's about damn time I am treated that way not like any fucking dog! I heard the man gasp when I felt my eyes go red with anger and a loud snarl was released from my mouth.
"What are you?" He asked fright starting to take over his brown eyes and his hands shook slightly by his side. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath letting myself shift to human form and to my surprise this time I was clothed and my hair was up in a tight bun. I opened my eyes and tugged my hair out letting it drop around my shoulder and the man gasped once again before dropping to his knees to bow for me.
"Believe me now?" Liam said with a smirk at the man earning a glare from him once he got to his feet again. The man looked back at me with an apologetic smile and I sent him a small smile back as a forgiveness since he didn't know who I was at the time.
"Please Princess, come and get cleaned up, and we have a gown ready for you already for when you are showered." The man said grabbing my hand gently and leading me towards a large building with lights shining from every window. The rest of the group followed me seeming uncertain of the new place and of the many people here. I was lead into the building and then to a large bathroom that was fully equipped with anything and everything that a girl could need.
"If you need anything just call." A woman that looked about 30 said before turning to leave. I stopped her with a quick wait and she turned to look back at me her face seeming to light up with the fact that I needed something.
"Please be sure that the group I came here with gets everything the want and make sure they all bathe as well." I told her and she simple nodded before leaving me alone in the room. I stripped off and got in the water enjoying the feeling of the dirt running off my body and for once being able to feel clean again. By the time I was done with my body and hair the warm water had already been all used up. I turned off the water and got out and wrapped a towel around my body before walking out of the bathroom and straight into the bedroom that was connected to my bath. My eyes were immediately drawn to the bed where two gorgeous gowns were laid out with a piece of paper in the middle of them. I put on a fresh pair of undergarments that I found in the dresser before walking to examine the gowns closer. The first gown was a light blue color that went into a V around the breast and connected to a pendant that sat in the middle of the breast area. The bottom went to my feet and puffed out a bit and looked almost like a prom dress. The second dress was extremely different than any I had ever seen but was absolutely perfect. The dress went to my feet but this one was a more golden color, the whole dress was covered in gems but the bottom of the dress was a see through gold material. The front of the dress went all the way up to my neck and a small part went around like a necklace almost, the back of the dress cut off and showed off my whole back, which now happened to be nice and tan. I decided on the second dress since it seemed more like me and I tugged it on being careful not to pull any gems off. I sat down and pulled on a pair of golden heels that were at the bottom of the bed then stood up to examine myself in the mirror. I turned around and around to see myself and I loved the looks of it. When I turned back around I noticed the paper on the bed so I walked over to read it. At the top of the paper it said "This gown was made especially for your arrival." And was written in blue ink so I was guessing they were talking about the other gown. At the bottom of the page though written in gold ink it said "The other dress is to innocent looking, thought you may like this one better, I had it made for you. I know you are gonna have trouble forgiving me but I really am sorry and I want to be with you, oh and your mother agrees that we are meant to be together, she is the one that made us mates in the first place. Niall xx"

I studied the paper in shock and almost fainted at the small scripted words written in front of me. Niall had someone gotten in here while I was showering and not only gave me this dress but he also wrote this to let me know he was sorry. There is only one way to get to the bottom of this and I knew exactly who to talk to about it.
"Mother." I whispered quietly to myself and not a second later I was dragged away from the room I was in and pulled into the field. This way I can speak to my mother about everything and find out what I should do about Niall, I can't help but love him since I am his mate after all, but he is a monster too.
