MORNING~
I moved around as my body woke up and after a little bit of a struggle I got my body to sit up straight making a loud cracking break the silence in the room.
"Babe?" Niall's groggy Irish accent questioned as the bed sunk down while his weight shifted till he was comfortable again.
"Go back to bed Niall, I am just going to go for a walk." I told him and he seemed to be okay with it since his eyes closed once again and he snored softly through his parted lips. I kissed his forehead before getting up and throwing on a pair of sweats and a tank top, I put my hair up and walked out of the building. The cold sharp wind hit my skin sending painful needle like shivers through my body, numbing my every muscle. I ignored the pain and walked out of the clear area that was the safety camp and instead I headed for the woods and continued walking till I was met with a small clearing in the trees letting the still bright shining moon luminate the small area. Seeing the moon light around me and on my skin made me feel better and I no longer felt any cold or pain I felt warm and powerful.
"Okay this is what you wanted." I whispered into the sky hoping my mother would give me some sign as to what she wanted me to do here.
"Power practice." Her motherly whisper echoed around in my skull for a brief moment before vanishing leaving me in silence once again. I should have known that is what she wanted, I agree I do need to practice so I don't end up flipping out again.
"Why did I have to be out so early?" I asked her with a small smirk and a simple roll of my eyes, hey I am still a teenage daughter after all.
"Okay here we go then." I whispered quietly to myself before kneeling down and softly touching the grass beneath me with the tips of my fingers. I watched in amazement as the grass grew greatly and sprouted thin green vines that soon blossomed with blue flowers. I stood back up and smiled at the small patch with plush green grass and a single flower, I then started running, I ran from tree to tree laughing loudly, I spun and jumped while touching everything near me, rocks, trees, the ground, and surely enough everything my fingers would grace past would blossom in sprouts and other small plants.
"Try healing." My mother spoke once again through my head and with that a small black bird dropped down near a tree with an ear splitting cackle as it hit the ground. I ran to it and dropped to the floor next to it and my hand immediately flew to cover my mouth as my eyes began to water. I stared down at the little bird watching as it flopped around, one wing broken and it's neck turned in an ungodly form.
"Help it." My mother told me once again as all I did was stare at it while it struggled to move, or even to breathe. I reached down slowly and picked it up, being careful of its damaged wing as I brought it up to my chest and closed my eyes. I took a deep breath and clutched carefully to the birds delicate body, when I opened my eyes again and this time the birds wing was brought back to it's chest and it's neck was laying flat on my hand in a normal position.
"Try and stretch you wing out." I spoke softly to the bird and regretted it almost immediately. I am going mad, I am loosing my mind, I really just talked to a bird like it could understand me, I may be a wolf but that dosen't mean i'm a damn bird whisperer. I rolled my eyes at myself and looked back down to a surprise, the bird was now stood up in my hands with it's wings stretched out to their full length and it's eyes were locked on my face as if waiting for me to say something else to it.
"Can you understand me?" I asked this time paying close attention to every move in his small frame. The raven stared at me for a moment before moving it's head up and down twice as if un-sure of it's movements.
"You were sent here from my mother, weren't you?" I questioned it watching as it hopped off my hand onto the ground and pecked into the soft soil with it's sharp beak. I got a loud squawk as a response but I took it as a yes considering any normal bird would have flown away from me as soon as it caught the lingering wolf scent on my skin. The bird continued pecking at the ground while I stood up and headed back through the trees and towards the camp, this round I took my time getting back and enjoyed the bitter silence around me.
"Princess where on earth were you?" An unfamiliar male guard asked as soon as I got back into camp.
"I went out to be alone for a little while, is there something wrong with that?" I questioned sending him a sharp glare and he quickly shook his head no.
"I am Bryce your new guard, you will be seeing a lot of me." He said in almost a threatening tone as he got closer to my face but backed away as soon as Lillee's voice called to me.
"Hey Shantal where'd you run off to?" Lillee asked me as she approached her smile seemed to fade away once she saw Bryce.
"Just went out for a walk, couldn't seem to sleep with the moon shining through my window." I pointed up to the now brightening sky and her smile soon returned as she wrapped her arm around my shoulder and tugged me off towards the rest of the group that sat around lazily letting the sun soak into their skin. I sat down with them with Lillee following my lead and sitting right next to Harry before leaning back seeming to enjoy the sun as well, she was lucky enough to be bitten so she still had human in her, Harry on the other hand was born the way he is so he had an umbrella stabbed into the ground next to him so the sun didn't reach his uncovered skin.
"As fun as this is guys, I can't help but have a bad feeling about staying here." Hailey spoke first breaking the silence that had fallen over the small circle.
"You saying we should leave?" Liam questioned her looking rather offended by her words.
"I'm saying I have a bad feeling about this place the longer we stay here." Hailey shot back her words coming out more fierce than I had ever heard before.
"And where do you suggest we go?" Harry asked not bothering to open his eyes or even sit up from his laying position on the ground.
"I don't know honestly, but something here doesen't feel right." She spoke in a whisper as she stared back down at her crossed legs. I was about to speak to interrupt this little spiel but stopped when the familiar squawking of a raven broke through the silence in the camp.
"Is that a raven?" Harry asked sitting up as his eyes snapped open hungrily. The camp had a very scarce amount of straight blood so Harry, and Niall were noticeable hungry, Lillee once again was lucky enough to have human in her so she could eat cooked meat like the rest of the wolves. The little bird from earlier slowly propelled itself down till it rested gently upon my shoulder.
"Hello Pip, nice to see that you're flying again." I spoke to the bird making it's head turn up towards my face, it nuzzled it's small feathered head against the crease of my neck before lowering it head down to tuck it under it's wing, it then proceeded to wiggle till it was comfortable then it slept peacefully.
"Why the hell is that bird sleeping on your shoulder?" Louis asked me standing up and stepping a single centimeter closer to me.
"And why did you call it Pip?" Liam asked not bothering to stand up with Louis but instead only sat up.
"I saved him earlier in the night while I was walking, he seemed to understand me and stayed with me for a little while till I came back. I called him Pip a couple times and he understood when I called him that so I stuck to it, once I came back here I didn't think he would follow but here he is, it's like he recognizes me and he wants to stay with me." I told them keeping my gaze locked onto the glistened black feathers on Pip's back.
"So you rescued a bird and now it's your pet?" Harry spat his eyes changing from green to an almost black color as his fangs slid out of his gums.
"Yes, and you're not going to touch him!" I growled loudly waking Pip up as he flew straight up out of reach of anything but he stayed hovered over me.
"So i'm sitting her starving while your naming the creatures we are supposed to eat!" He hissed, his fangs were now to their full length and he stood up only to crouch in an attacking stance. He wanted a fight, well I would gladly give him one.

(Such a long wait for this short update but I have had a bit of writers block lately, I hope you like it and let me know what you think in the comments below! VV )
