Still Eve's pov.

The principal came out his office and stood in front of us. "I know I don't do this but since this is a big thing, well I want Eve to get out of school early to help you find your daughter."
"Really?" I was shocked.
He nodded. "Yes."
We got up from our seats and was getting ready to leave.
"And I hope Drusilla comes home safe," the principal told her mom.
"I do too," she said.
With that, we left out the school and got into the car and drove off.
"I wish I knew where Jackson was living at because I would tell him to look for her," I said as pulling out my phone. "I guess I'll text him."
"I hope he helps."
I looked at her. "He will. I'm helping, so you don't have nothing to worry about."
She didn't say anything but kept looking around.
I looked out the window and to be honest I wasn't looking really, I was thinking. I was thinking maybe if we couldn't find Drusilla, maybe Jackson would be so worried, that I could be there for him, telling him that she's okay and that she'll find her way back home. I wanted to get close to him and if I did, maybe he'll be happy that I was there for him the whole time. More than she has.
I wanted that. I wanted him to know that I was there for him more than anything and that I would never break his heart.
I was in a way confused because I was alittle worried for Drusilla and but I wanted her gone, so I could be with Jackson.
Later that day, we had looked around and there was no sign of her what's so ever, so we ended up taking a break and plus I had work.
Mrs. Henderson, which was Drusilla mother, well she went back home and called people after people and was just hoping for her daughter to come back home.
I walked into work and grab my apron and put it on me. I grab a pen and paper to get ready to take someone's oder. I turned around and Jackson stood there in front of me. I jump. "Don't do that!" I held my hand to my chest and took a deep breath.
"Sorry," he said. He sat down on a chair, that was at the counter. "I looked everywhere and there was no sign of her."
"Same for us." I laid my paper and pen on the counter and sat down. "I'm worried for her."
He looked at me and didnt say anything.
He was worried to death.
"She'll be fine. Drusilla knows how to take care of her self," I said.
He nodded because he knew that was true. Tears fell down his eyes. "I feel like this is my fault."
I raised an eyebrow. It wasn't his fault. "Jackson, this isn't your fault."
"How?" He asked me.
Was he brainwashed too. "How can you say that it might be your fault, when you didn't do anything. She's the one that did this, Jackson."
"This is all of our fault." He got up from his seat. "We were being too harsh on her and I feel like we didn't give her time to talk, so you can't just sit there in act like you didn't do anything because clearly this is your fault too!" He yelled out loud.
Tears fell down my eyes.
He moved away from me and started to walk off.
"Where are you going?" I yelled out.
"To find Drusilla!" He slam the door opened and I ran up to him and said. "Let me help."
"I think I can do this by myself." He turned around and stood there in front of me. "I don't need anyone."
"But Drusilla would want this. She would want me and you to get together and find her, so I'm going," I said as walking forward but his hands grab my arms and kept me from walking.
"Let me go, Jackson! She's my friend."
"Well, she's my girlfriend-"
"Yeah, your old girlfriend, so let me help you find her," I said.
Ms. Betty came out. "Eve, what are you doing out here? Aren't you supposed to be inside working?"
We looked at her.
"Yeah, listen to her," Jackson said as walking.
"You can't do this by yourself!" I yelled. "Like I said, Drusilla would both want us to find her together." Why was I fussing with him? Well I knew because I wanted to be close to him but fussing would make it worst.
"Y'all looking for Drusilla?" She asked.
I nodded and grab the handle of the door to go back in intill I heard.
"She was here this morning," she said.
Jackson stop walking and I let go of the door.
"You did?" I asked.
She nodded. "Yeah."
Jackson ran to us. "What did she say?"
"She was coming in the morning, telling me that she quit."
Jackson and I looked at each other.
"And I asked her what for and she was just saying that so much was going on in her life and that she was leaving for good. She walked out but I asked her if she was going to be back and she said that she wasn't for sure but when things clear down, she'll come back."
"Which was did she go?" Jackson asked.
Ms. Betty pointed to the left. "She went that way."
Jackson started to walk off but I ran after him. "Um hello?"
He looked at me. "Go tell her mom and I'll text you to meet me somewheres." He walked off.
I ran to Drusilla's mother and had knock on her door. "Sue!" That was her name.
She opened the door. "Did you find her?"
"No, but my boss did. Drusilla was there this morning," I told her.
Sue grab the keys and we had drove to the coffee shop.
She was upset and I could tell it. I didn't say anything to her because I was scared that sue was going to start yelling. She park and got out the car and I did too.
We went into the door. Sue walked fast to the counter and as she did, she had went behind the counter and ms Betty came out the door.
"You're not supposed to be back her-"
"Oh shut up!" Sue yelled. "Why did you let her go? Why didn't you just lock the door and keep her here!" Sue cried.
Ms. Betty didn't say anything.
"Are you stupid? You could've called me and-" Sue put her hand to her mouth and cried. "I just want my baby back."
"Sue," I said as walking to her and placing my hands around her.
"Let's go," she said. She walked off and I followed her.
