"Hey are you good in math?" Kathy asked me.
"Eh," I said as looking at her.
She laughed. "It's okay if you're not. I was always bad at it and I'm surprised that I made it to the 12th grade."
I agreed with her. "Same here."
"Drusilla is a pretty name," she told me.
I smiled. "Thank you. My mom told me that my dad name me that."
"Well he can come up with some good names. I don't really like my name," she told me.
"What for?" I asked.
She shook her shoulders.
"Well I do. I could always give you a nickname. Kat."
"Sounds good. Let's see, how about silla?" She also laugh.
"Good enough."
"So, silla." She laughed. "Do you have a job?"
I nodded yes. "Yes. I work at the coffee shop."
"Really? I went there yesterday and try it out. It's a very good place."
"I know right. Hey maybe I could get you a job there," I said as getting excited.
"Really, you could do that?" She asked.
"Of course. After school, we'll go there."
"Great," she said.

EVE'S POV.

I stood there at the double doors, watching Drusilla and that new girl talking. I didn't like this what's so ever and it was called jealously.
Wow, I thought. I was jealous of Drusilla because this one thing and I couldn't stand her and now after seeing her with this girl it made me upset. I felt like I wanted to grab this girl from the hair and toss her and just hurt her but I had to not worry about it.
They were laughing and having a good time and yet I sat right on the other side of the door, looking at them.
They made me sick and yet I felt like I had to get in the middle and try to be that friend to Drusilla. I should try to talk to Drusilla and change the way I've been acting.
"What are you doing? I heard.
Jackson was next to me.
"Just enjoying the outside," I said as turning to him.
"How when you're inside?" He asked. He look and noticed Drusilla and some other girl. "Who is that?"
"A new girl, which is a new bestie to Drusilla," I said in a mad way.
"You're jealous, aren't you?" He wonder.
I turned to him. "I'm not jealous."
He laughed. "Then why is it bothering you?"
I didn't say anything.
"I'll see you in class." Jackson hand touched my arm and it had gave me chills. He touched me and we weren't yelling at each other. We were pretty much having a conversation with each other. I looked at him and thought maybe there would be hope for me and Jackson.
Later on, I had went to work and I didn't see Drusilla at all.
Was she running late? I asked.
I knew what I could do. I could act like a real Best friend to her and she would want to be near me again. I'll act like the old Eve she once know.
I looked up and noticed Drusilla coming through the door.
Yes, she's here! I was happy, so I moved away from the counter and for I knew it, the new girl, Kathy was behind her.
I stop and turned around just to make it look like I wasn't going toward her in a joy way. I was hearing the conversation they were talking about.
"This is nice," I heard Kathy say.
"It is. Wait when you get behind the counters," Drusilla said.
I turned around. "Oh hey y'all two." I looked at Kathy. "Came to order?"
Drusilla laughed. "No. She's working here."
I stood there and was shocked. I felt as my jaw had drop down to my feet. SHE WORKS HERE, I yelled to myself.
"I'll show you how you work things," Drusilla took her hand and before she could get behind the counters, her mom called. "My mom is calling." Drusilla answered the call. "I'll be right back."
"I'll show her around!" I told Drusilla.
She wasn't for sure to say yes you can, but she did. "Okay."
I looked at Kathy. "Okay, come with me."
Kathy and I had went behind the counters and we went straight to the coffee machine.
"You're going to love it here," I said. I had a plan. I could get her fire, by messing up the machine and making it look like she did it.
Yes, Eve! That is a brilliant idea, I smiled to myself.
"Why does her mom call her alot?" Kathy wondered.
I looked at her. "It's because Drusilla ran away because of a guy."
"Really?" She asked.
"Yeah and now her mom is checking on her everywhere she's going." Maybe what I was saying, maybe it will get to Kathy's head and make her think that she's a bad influence and don't need to be around her.
Kathy was messing with the cups. "I've been down that road, too. I know how she feels."
You got to be kidding me.
Drusilla came back. "I'm back. So, is everything okay?"
"Perfect," Kathy said.
"Yup, everything is perfect." I walked off.
I could hear there conversation.
"So, who was the guy you ran off with?" Kathy asked Drusilla.
She was confused. "What do you mean?"
"Eve told me why your mother keeps calling you and she said that you ran off with this guy."
I could feel Drusilla looking at me. "Oh my word," Drusilla said.
"What really happened?" She asked.
"I'll tell you later."
With that, I walked off.

DRUSILLA POV.

Kathy and I walked. We were walking down the street, but didn't go home yet.
"My mom is calling." I took my phone out and answer. "Hello?"
"You heading home?" She asked.
"Yes."
"Is Eve with you?" She asked me.
I signed. "No. I'm with a new girl, name Kathy."
Kathy smiled. "Hi!"
Mom didn't like the idea of it. "Come home safe."
"I will."
We both hung up.
"So, what really happened?" Kathy asked.
I turned my head and notice that she had tooken out two sandwich.
"Girl, you aren't supposed to take sandwich from the shop," I said as stopping her.
She laughed. "I didn't. Ms. Betty told me I could since I'm new."
"Oh."
Kathy handed me a sandwich. "So, what happened?"
"It's crazy, but a week ago I was cleaning up at night and I met this guy and I let him in the shop. We talked and it was like the best night. Oh and I had a boyfriend at that time and I never did tell him about it, but I told Eve. Well, me and the guy, we hung out at night and well we were talking about Jackson and how he was. I felt like this guy I meet like a week ago, was telling me what I needed in life."
"And what did he tell you?" She asked.
We ended up finding a bench and so we sat down.
"He made me realize that I don't need someone who is over protective and that I need someone fun to be around," I said.
"So let me guess, you broke up with this Jackson dude?" She wondered.
I nodded. "Yes and I came home and Eve had told her and mom was yelling and so I was walking to the door and she said that if I walked out then don't come back, so I choose to leave."
"My goodness. Why are you back?" She took a bite of her sandwich.
"By the time I got on the train, Jackson came after me and I don't how he found me but he was saying that he was sorry and that he would make it up to me-"
"Did he?"
"Not really. Right now my life is crazy," I said to her.
"Where's this other guy?" She asked.
"He left. He didn't tell me and right now I'm still mad at him." I looked down at the sandwich that I didn't touched. Tears had came to my eyes.
"You okay?" She knew something was wrong. "You miss this other guy, don't you?"
I wipe the tears from my face and I looked at her. I nodded my head. "It's crazy right?"
"Actually no."
"You've been down this road before?" I cried.
"Yes." She rest her back on the bench. "This guy and I fell in love and he promised me that he wouldn't leave and well he did. He just got up and left and I feel like I can't get over it."
"Same with me. Love sucks," I laughed.
She laughed with me.
"I just hope one day he comes back."
"Maybe he will. Maybe something had come up and he had to leave for a while"
I looked at her. "Let me guess, you kept that saying to your head and had hope?"
"Yup. And I still do," she said.
I didn't say anything.
Where are you Spike? I asked. I look off and thought about him.
All I wanted was for him to come back or for me to find him.
I needed him.

I hope that is good.
