16~Cold Shoulder~

Yah

I can't believe what happened to me today. I really thought Jacob liked me. I was kinda starting to like him back. When I picked Myra up from school, I told her what happened and of course, she had a field day. Now, I was just sitting in my room doing homework, but I can't seem to get my mind off Jacob. I tried my best to stay focused because my Calculus teacher definitely didn't accept late work.

 I was completely focused for the rest of my assignment and was on the last problem when my phone dinged. I picked it up and saw that I had a text from Jacob. I slightly rolled my eyes before opening the message.

Jakey 💕: Come upstairs.

Yah:Why?

Jakey💕: I got something for you

Yah:Nah. I'm good.

Jakey💕:Don't be like that. I thought we was good.

Yah:I thought we were too...before you completely blew me off earlier.

By now, I was kind of annoyed, but not only that, I was extremely embarrassed. I cringed at the fact the I joked about him following me. I completely forgot that we lived in the same building and he was just on his way home like I was. I finished up my last problem and made sure I put it back in my bag for school tomorrow.

As soon as I turned on my TV, there was a small knock on my door. 

"Come in," I slightly sighed

Ja'Lae poked her head in. "Myra sent me to tell you that my brother is at the door for some reason. He said he wants to talk to you,"she said before leaving. She didn't even wait for a response. 

I sat there for a second wondering what he could possibly want. Then, I forced myself out of my bed and went to the door. Before I opened it, I looked through the peep hole. I guess Jacob heard me cause he looked up from his phone directly at the peephole. Instantly, I felt a rush of chills run through my whole body. I opened the door, but I just stood there with my eyebrows raised. 

"Wanna watch a movie, I saw this on sale for 10 dollars and I just had to grab it," He held up a DVD case which just so happen to be my favorite movie series of all time, Hunger Games. I just couldn't resist. I slowly smirked and walked away from the door leaving it open. Jacob followed behind me closing the door behind him. 

We went to my room and I put the movie in before laying on my stomach with my head the bottom of the bed and my feet at the top. Jacob, on the other hand, sat up with his back against my headboard. I used my remote to press play and the movie began.

 I kept my focus on the TV but I know Jacob wasn't. I could feel him staring at my butt. I honestly didn't mind though, as long as he keeps his hands to himself, he can look all he wants.

Since I knew he was watching, I decided to give him a show. I turned and looked back. "Is it hot to you?"

"No not to me," He shrugged his shoulders.

"Oh cause I'm burning up. I'll be right back." I paused the movie before going over to my dresser. I grabbed my favorite shorts and went into my bathroom to change. I came back out and tossed my jogging pants into the hamper and laid back down in the same position. "That's a thousand times better." I smirked a little when I heard Jacob slightly clear his throat. 

About 20 minutes passed and I was so deep into the movie that I didn't heard Jacob call me the first time. "Uhh my sister just texted me and said she needed help with something upstairs, so I guess I'll see you around" He sat on the edge of my bed putting his shoes back on.
