Two years later

~September 13th~
Cas' POV
It's been 3 years since the day Dean and I got together. It's been the happiest 3 years of both our lives. But, there are some things that haven't been so good. It's Sam. Dean's brother. Everything that I do annoys Sam and it's either because I'm a vampire, I turned Dean into a vampire, or both. Whenever Dean would go visit Sam, I eventually stopped going with him. I stopped going last year because I couldn't take the fact that Sam hated me so much. To be honest, I'm not so sure that Sam even excepts Dean as a vampire now, even though it's been like 2 and a half years.

At times I even thought about breaking up with Dean just to make Sam happy but I couldn't do that Dean. He would be depressed and so would I. We would both remember it for as long as we lived. It could be centuries and we would still remember breaking up and the pain would always be there. Vampires don't forget anything.

Just like I remember the time when I told Sarah about Dean and I and she took Bryan away from me. I haven't seen him in 3 years now, but I do miss him more and more every day.

I haven't told Dean about the fact that Sam hates me.

Dean's POV
Cas and I have been very happy together but for some reason, Cas has stopped going with me to Sam's house. Every time I go visit him, he doesn't go with me. I don't know why.

Anyway, aside from that, Cas and I have been very happy. I've been working and not spending that much money. It's usually to pay the rent or to buy food. That's it. Now, I have enough to buy Cas a wedding ring and that's what I'm going to do. It feels right. I know he's the one. I just know it.

He makes happy, we love each other, and I don't know what I would do without him. He's my other half. He's my everything. I would do anything for him and I know he would do anything for me.

Today, I called my boss and asked him for a day off. He said yes. I'm now making my way to go ring shopping. I park the impala, get out, and lock it. I walk into the shop and start looking around. I'm there for about an hour before I find the perfect ring for a perfect person.

I go up to the register and I pay for it. It was a simple gold band but I still thought it was perfect for Cas. Hopefully he likes it as well.

I got in my car and called Cas.

"Hey baby, can you come over to my apartment tonight?" I said smiling.

"Yeah, sure babe." He said sounding happy.

"Alright, see you to tonight. Be there at 6:30." I said.

"Ok. Bye Dean." He said.

"Bye." I said and hung up the phone.

It was 3:30 which meant I only had 3 hours before Cas arrived at my apartment. I needed to make everything perfect. I needed to cook dinner, think about how I'm going to propose to him, and how to make everything special.

{6:30 p.m}
I arrived at Dean's apartment. I grabbed the flowers from the passenger seat and got out of the car. It was a dozen roses.

I walked up to Dean's apartment door and knocked. He opened the door and I gave him the flowers.

"Happy anniversary, baby." I said to him with a smile.

"Aww, thanks babe. Happy anniversary to you, too." He smiled.

It smelled like he had made spaghetti and meatballs. It smelled awesome!

"It smells wonderful in here, Dean." I said to him.

I walked I into the apartment and he closed the door behind me.

"Thanks, Cas. You can just sit at the table. Dinner is ready, I'm just going to serve it now." He said and went into the kitchen. He put the flowers in a vase and then continued on with serving dinner.

He set a plate in front of me and then he got his own plate. He went back into the kitchen and got some red wine out.

He poured each of us a glass before he set it down on table and sat down.

"Thank you for everything, Dean. This is amazing." I smile at him.

"You're welcome, baby." He smiled.

"I love it." I said.

He nodded and smiled before we started eating the delicious meal that Dean made us.

Castiel's POV
This is amazing so far! Cas and Dean are together, today is their 3 year anniversary, and they're enjoying a meal together. How could this possible get even better?!

-after dinner-
Dean's POV
I helped Dean clean the table and then he told me to sit down again. I nodded and sat down.

"Cas, you're an amazing person and you've always been there for me. For that I'm extremely grateful. I don't know what I could have ever done without you. We've been through so much together and I love you so much. That's why I have ask you this very important question." I stopped for a few seconds.

I got the box out of back pants pocket. I kneeled on one knee and opened the box. I smiled before asking.

"Castiel Novak, will you marry me?" I asked and his smiled slowly started to fade.

He opened his mouth like he was about to something but then closed it again.

Cas' POV
There was those words. The words that I've been excited about but also dreading. I wanted to say yes so badly but I also wanted to say no.

I wanted to say yes because I love Dean and I want to be with him forever but I knew I couldn't have that because Sam doesn't like me. Just knowing that Sam doesn't like me and wants to kill me is very unsettling.

I open my to say something but close my mouth again because I really don't know what to say.

I needed to get out of here. I just needed to run.

I stood up abruptly and said I'm sorry to Dean before speeding out of his apartment at full speed.

I took out my phone and hit Gabe's contact. The phone rang a few times and before he picked up.

"Gabe, I'm coming over to your house. I'll be there in a few hours. Bye." I said before I hung up the phone.

I took off my shirt and spread my wings out before taking off at full speed towards Gabe's house.
