-8:30 p.m-
Cas' POV
I woke up and it was really dark outside. I took out my phone and I saw that it was 8:30 at night. I looked to my right and saw that my wife was still sleeping.I slowly got off the bed, opened the bedroom door, and looked around for my son. I found him sleeping on the couch in the living room.
I smiled to myself. Then, I remembered, I need to make sure Dean is ok.
I open the front door and silently slip out of my wife's house. I use my powers to lock my wife's front door before taking off in the direction of Dean's apartment.
I arrived outside Dean's apartment door and I knock. Dean answers the door and I go inside.
"Hey Cas, did you find Bryan?" He asked me.
"Well actually, Castiel helped us find him. The house was filled with demons and Sarah and I had passed out. I'm guessing Castiel had fought off the demons. He then teleported us all back to Sarah's house." I said to him.
I heard a flutter of wings behind me. I turned around and Castiel was standing there. He looked sad.
"Hey Cas, hey Dean." He said. His voice was even sadder.
"What's wrong, Castiel?" I asked him, my voice filled with concern.
"Cas, may I speak to you in private, please?" He asked me.
I nodded.
"I'll be back in a minute, Dean." I said to Dean, turning my head back towards him.
"Ok." He said.
"Let's talk outside." I suggested.
Castiel nodded. We walked outside Dean's apartment door and into the hallway.
"Cas, have you told your son that he's adopted yet?" He asked me.
I was taken aback by his question.
"No, not yet. Sarah and I don't know how we're going to tell him. I'm scared of how he'll react when we do tell him. Why?" I asked him.
"The reason why I was able to help you guys find him because I felt a connection pulling me closer to him. Cas, I'm your son's father. But, the thing is, while I felt a connection towards him, I didn't feel his connection towards me. Did you happen to feel any connection when we found your son?" He asked me.
"I think I did. I felt...love. I felt a bond. Father and son bond. What did you feel?" I asked him.
"Same thing as you." He answered.
"Do you maybe want to tell him that you're his real father?" I asked him.
"I think you should do it. If he asks about me, I'll show. If he doesn't, then I won't show." His voice starting to crack and tears starting to fall from his eyes.
I pulled him into an embrace.
"Why my son, Cas? Why did you choose to adopt my son?" He asked crying into my shoulder.
"I'm so sorry, Castiel." I said apologetically.
"Why did she even give up our son in the first place?" He asked me.
"She said that she couldn't afford to raise two kids. She said it would be too hard to do it without a husband." I told him, remembering that day.
-flashback-
Sarah and I had been so happy together. It was our 1ooth anniversary and we had been talking about having a kid for a while. We both wanted a child but we both knew it wasn't possible because vampires can't have or make babies. One day we were just going on about our day. It was a Saturday and on Saturdays we usually went hunting together, then we would go into town and look around for a little bit. Sarah loved to go shopping. She would buy new dresses and shoes.
Anyway, we were just going on about our day when Sarah said she saw an adoption center. I drove to the adoption center, we walked in, and looked at all the children in the orphanage. It broke both our hearts to see all the children that didn't have a place to call home.
We looked at all the children when our eyes fell on Bryan. We walked over to him. He had my dark brown hair and ocean blue eyes. He was crying so I picked him up. Once I picked him up, he suddenly stopped crying.
"Dada." He said silently with his little soft voice.
Sarah and I both smiled at the adorable child in my arms. At that moment, we knew we had to adopt him. We knew that he was the child for us.
"We don't know where his father is but you can meet his mother. He's very sweet, lovable, and adorable." The adoption center man said to us.
"When can we meet the mother?" Sarah and I asked at the same time.
"She's actually here right now. Come with me." The man said.
We walked with him. I looked down and saw the little baby boy had fallen asleep in my arms.
I smiled to myself.
We stopped when we had finally reached the mother of the child. She had straight brown hair with some blond highlights in it and brown eyes. She wore a white tank top with a grey cardigan on top, the buttons all buttoned up.
She looked up at me in surprise. I guess I looked like her husband.
"Hello, I'm Castiel and this is my wife, Sarah. It's very nice to meet you." I said with a smile.
"Hi, I'm Amelia. I'm guessing you're the ones who will be adopting Clarence?" She asked.
"Yes ma'am. We promise we'll take very good care of him. We're good people. We would never let anything horrible happen to your son." I informed her.
"Thank you for that." She said.
"Thank you for letting us adopt your son." I said with a sad smile.
"He deserves it. I can't raise two kids at once. At least with you two, he'll be in a better place. He'll have amazing parents." She said.
I looked down at her stomach and saw that she was pregnant with another child.
"When are you due?" I asked her.
"The doctors say she's due on May 4th. I still have a few more months." She said.
"Well, congratulations." I told her with a smile.
"Thank you, sir." She said.
~end of flashback~
I snapped out of the memory when I heard Castiel's voice."Cas, not to seem rude but can we stop hugging now? It's been, like, 30 minutes." He said.
"Sorry, Castiel." I said before I let go of him.
