Dean's POV
Cas and I have made up now. I was never mad at him or anything. More shocked rather than mad. I was shocked that he kissed me. I was even more shocked when he told me he was in love with me. I just thought he thought about me the same way I think about him. Just as a friend.

~2 days later~
Today was Saturday and it was my day off. I was super exhausted from working all those hours but the money that I was making was all worth it. I went directly to bed once I got home from work and didn't wake up until 10:00 a.m this morning. I slept great.

Even though Cas and I were made up, he said that he didn't want to be friends with me because he wouldn't be able to control himself. But, I think he would be able to control himself around me. He's been doing for a long time. So, why would this time be any different?

Anyway, it was his choice and I had to respect that. I can't tell him what I think he should do. He's got a mind of his own.

~4:00 p.m~
I was just watching T.V when I heard someone trying to break into my apartment. I immediately turned off the T.V, ran straight to my bedroom, locked the door, and called Cas.

Cas' POV
My phone started ringing and it was Dean. I picked it up and I heard him breathing heavily.

"Cas, please come quickly. Someone's trying to break into my apartment." He said in a panic.

I immediately started to panic as well and said that I was on my way. I walked out of my house, locked it, and debated my choices.

I could drive my car, it would be took much stopping. I could fly at this time of day, there would be questions from people. The only other choice was running. So, that's what I did. I started running all the way towards Dean's apartment at a full sprint.

What if it's demons? I really hope it's not demons. I got to Dean's apartment and saw that his front door was wide open. Someone had already gotten to Dean. I walked inside and silently looked around.

"Looking for this?" I heard a male voice say from behind me.

My immediately turned around. I saw a vampire that I didn't know and he was holding a knife up to Dean's neck.

"Let him go!" I growled at the vampire.

"Not a chance. You make one move and I'll kill your little boyfriend here." The vampire snickered.

I weighed my options. I could easily just throw him against the wall and save Dean.

But, before I had the chance to raise my hand even a little bit, I was roughly thrown against the wall.

"I'm way much more stronger than you." He snickered.

I slowly started raising my hand so I could throw him against then I back down. I got back up and started moving towards him.

He made a small cut on Dean's neck as I moved closer. Only a little bit of blood was coming out so I wasn't that effected by it.

"I'm warning you one last time, let him go." I said in a dangerously low voice.

"Or what?" The vampires snickered.

"Or else I'll kill you. I'm stronger than any vampire and I'm not afraid to take you on." I said, my voice still dangerously low.

"But not before I kill your little boyfriend here." He said and made a deeper cut on Dean's neck.

More blood was starting to ooze from his neck.

Castiel, keep yourself under control. This is Dean. You care about him. You would never hurt him. You would never bite him.

I kept trying to convince myself that but the smell of Dean's blood was too distracting.

The vampire made a deeper cut into Dean's neck and Dean cried out in pain.

"Stop!" I demanded the vampire.

All he did was laugh.

I lunged myself towards the vampire. Dean went down with us and I instantly helped him up and told him to go to his room. He nodded and went into his room.

The vampire got up and we started fighting. I kept throwing him against the wall with my powers and he did that to me as well. I grabbed the knife that was on the floor and lunged at him with it. I plunged it into his chest and he fell dead on the ground.

I went back into Dean's room and the smell of his blood instantly hit my nose. My mouth started watering but I knew I couldn't bite him. If I was myself right now I wouldn't want to bite him but I wasn't in control of myself right now. I wanted to taste his blood. I wanted to sink my fangs into his neck and just drink from him.

As I walked closer to him my mouth started watering and it was getting harder and harder to try and keep myself under control. Every fiber in my body wanted his blood really badly.

I finally got to him and I helped him up. I had to keep myself under control. I would not bite Dean.

Don't bite Dean. Don't bite Dean. Don't bite Dean.

That's the one thought that kept running through my head at this moment. It was easier to think about than do.

Once I had helped Dean up I felt myself pull closer to his neck. I felt my fangs starting to extract. It took my every ounce in my body not to bite Dean.

"Cas?" Dean said scared and stiffened.

I licked the blood off of Dean's neck. His blood was intoxicating. His blood tasted sweet.

He tried to push me off of him but I held on to him tightly.

"Cas, please." He begged.

I licked the blood off his neck again.

"Mm, Dean." I moaned.

His blood was so intoxicating. It tasted so sweet. My fangs started to extract and I knew I had to pull away before I regretted what I was about to do.

I quickly pulled away and looked away from Dean. I couldn't face Dean right now. I had to get out of here as fast as I could.

Castiel appeared in front of me.

"Castiel, take care of Dean. I have to go." I said in a low voice.

Castiel immediately ran over to Dean while I sprinted out of Dean's apartment.

I was furious at myself. I lost control, broke my promise to Dean to never taste human blood again, and I had almost bitten him because I wasn't strong enough to control myself.

I arrived at my house, opened my door, and slammed my front door shut. I was furious with myself and I needed to really calm down.
