"I'm going in for dinner, you all should too," I announce as I climb out of the tunnels. I reach the tent, stepping inside to find Mr. Weasley standing in the middle of the room.
"What are you doing here? I have work to do."
"What was that? You just- how did you get them to-"
"I have my ways, just like you musketeers do." I walk past him to the kitchen.
"You're in danger, Beatriz!"
I pause, taking a deep breath to prevent murder, "Don't call me that."
"Well, you're not taking this seriously, I had no choice."
I shake my head, continuing to the fridge. "Believe me, I'm taking this seriously," I sigh, opening the fridge and browsing for a drink. "I know what I'm doing, I do have a number of PhDs."
"PhD's don't prepare you for the dangerous things, you can't-"
"I am highly trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu," that was a really stupid thing to start out with Biz, way to go, "I have had numerous training sessions to heighten my senses and reflexes. I've studied thousands of languages so I can decipher what traps lay ahead. I'm good at what I do, William. I'm not stupid."
"I didn't say you were stupid. I just know- I know that this is more than you think it is- more than you can-"
"More than I can handle? You're just upset that I embarrassed you in front of your hunting buddies," I point out, grabbing a beer from the back and turning back to the counter.
Bill approaches the opposite side of the counter, his face still stern. "Bizzy-"
"Tell me what the danger is. Then I'll know if I can handle it."
He opens his mouth, but nothing comes out.
"You can't even tell me!" I yell, angrily grabbing a carton of Chinese food. "You're probably just making this danger up to get me to give up this site."
"Why would I do that?"
I step around the counter towards him, "Porque eres un mago idiota que no podía reconocer una bruja, incluso si usted ha tenido relaciones sexuales con ella."
"You know I don't speak Spanish, Biz."
I groan, "You always wanted to sabotage me, Bill. Was this just your plan all along? Fuck me long enough to find an interesting treasure, then use what I tell you in confidence to rip it from me!"
"Are you fucking kidding me? You think I'm that kind of guy?"
"Who knows? It appears that I barely know you."
"You think you're completely innocent? You've taken so many sites from us, I can't even count them. And when we met, you practically jumped me you wanted sex so bad. It's all you ever want from me, it's like you- you- you're a sex addict!"
"Jòdete!" I scream, pushing him back lightly.
"What?"
"Even your tiny brain should have figured that one out. I said, fuck you. Get out and don't even think about coming over tonight!"
"Why would I?!" he backs away, "And fuck you too. Don't expect help from me if you get yourself into trouble," he adds as he exits the tent.
"I won't need your help," I shout after him. I groan, taking a very large sip of beer. I collapse on the couch with my food, immediately succumbing into tears. I may need him, but I don't need his fucking help.
---
"We need their help," I state, staring at the words in front of me. Angrily, I throw the book the wall, and an inhuman noise escapes my lips, something in-between a screech and a howl.
"And why is this a problem?" Oliver asks, sighing as he picks up the book.
"Did you not hear the end of Bill and I's yelling match?"
"Yes, but you can just put sex back on the table and then everything will be fine."
"If we ask for their help, I have to tell Bill that I'm a witch, and that I've been lying to him for years."
"It's not like you're dating or anything," he points out. I shoot him my best glare, and he laughs, "Oh, right. You're in love with him."
"Don't say it so loud," I snap, hitting him in the shoulder.
"Ow! Just go to their tent, it's about a half a-"
"I know where their tent is." I growl at my idiot assistant, turning in place. I land in the center of the main area of their tent. Both Dillon and Maddox are facing away from me, and it take a moment for Dillon to see me in his peripheral vision, causing him to scream like a girl, and Maddox to spin around with a ceramic bowl raised above his head with a shaky hand, as if it would stop me from hurting him.
"What the hell?" Bill yells from the back area. "Are you guys o-" he steps into the room, immediately scowling, "What the fuck are you doing here?"
"I know you told me not to expect help from you, and believe me, I wouldn't be here if I had any other choice. I can handle protecting myself and my team from the danger but there are people who can't protect themselves- a whole city of people who will die if I don't- if we don't-"
"What are you talking about?" Maddox asks, sitting down.
"Didn't you say that you knew what the danger was? That right, you only knew there was a possibly fatal danger and assumed this little girl couldn't handle herself."
"No! We-"
"It doesn't matter, Dillon. I can usually handle these things on my own, but this particular obstacle calls for 5 or more people. I only have Oliver."
"What about your interns?" Maddox asks.
"My interns are new, they're still stupid. And I need w- I need experienced treasure hunters or whatever."
"What's in it for us?" Dillon makes a strange face that I think is supposed to be intimidating, but it looks rather stupid.
"Not dying. And being the reason that thousands of people in Cairo don't die. Look, I know that after what I pulled today- which actually wasn't a lot, I was just doing my job-"
"The point, Bizzy."
"Right. I know you don't owe me anything, but I need your help to do this. So please, meet me in the tomb in ten minutes." I nod, deciding that I made a good enough case. I turn to exit the tent, almost to the flap when Bill finally decides to speak again,
"What exactly do you need help with?"
I reach forward to grab the heavy fabric of the tent, turning my head to look at him. I smile almost sadly, prepared for the ruin these words will leave my life in. "Breaking the curse." I don't wait for their response, stepping out into the sand and immediately apparating back to the tomb.
