Tamika's POV

Once I entered the forest I followed the path to a clearing. I ended up resting against a tree watching nature. A few animals came and went not caring I was there.

I had been in the forest clearing for only an hour when I feel something watching me. "Whose there? Come out now" I demanded facing the forest. Nothing came out, but the forest was unusually quite for this time of day. That could only mean there was a hungry predator near by.

I turn back to head home when I saw huge shadow blocking my way. It started to walk towards me slowly and I saw burning red eyes. I backed away slowing and ran into something. "Do not worry my Princess Dexter won't hurt you" a calming/chilling male voice whispered in my ear. I felt arms wrap around my waist as I tried move away.

"Please let me go, I have to go home now" I told whoever was holding me. When I turned to see who it is. I saw a boy around my age, maybe a little older with dark hair and eyes. Then I felt something in front of us and turned my head back around.

There standing only about three feet away was a giant black wolf with burning red eyes. I backed away into the person behind me unsure of what to do. The person behind me chuckled tightening his hold before letting go. "Dexter heel good boy now say hello to Tamika" he told the wolf he calls Dexter.

Dexter stepped forward bowing his head before licking my hand. I raised it a little to rub Dexter's cheek and he seemed to purr at my touch. I giggled saying "I have heard a wolf purr before. Or seen one so big with red eyes" I added.

"That is because Dexter isn't a wolf Tamika he is my Familiar" the stranger told me.

"How do you know my name? Who are you?" I asked and stopped patting Dexter. He didn't seem to like it and cuddled into my side.

"I know everything about you Tamika Gabrielle Legna. I am surprised your grandparents haven't told you about me. After all you are my Bride" he told me.

"I'm not engaged to anyone you are crazy and I am leaving" I said firmly. I started to walk down the path that lead the way him. Dexter seemed upset to see me go while the stranger laughed.

"Tell your grandparents it is time for them to held up the end of their family's deal" he said. I turned to ask what deal he was talking about. To find him and Dexter gone without a trace. How rude he didn't even tell me his name I thought before walking home.
