"C'mon! Hurry up!" Buddy nipped at my ear.
"Ouch!" I barked. "You know my ears are sensitive!"
"Really Buster? Man up." Buddy pushed me with his head. He lead me to a little road with a couple cars coming our way. He looked across, then ran. He was a year older then me, so he is faster, smarter, and cooler then me. But one day I know ill be the alpha dog. You're probably thinking; What are these little puppys doing running around by themselves? Well, im originally from a small down called Mikton. It was a tiny town with not a lot of people. But that down was special, very special. Its the place I was born, and the last place I saw my parents. All I remember was that my dad ran off to find food, but he never returned. And my mom died shortly after I was born. But Buddy is kind of like my parents. He is sweet and kind like a mother, and tough like a father. So, you can say you have parents, or maybe you don't. But, I don't need parents. Because I have Buddy. But he tells me to call him Bud, and I asked why. He said that Buddy was the little, weak, and wimpy version of him. Bud was the fresh, cool, strong version of him. I nodded and kept walking.
"Look for cars, if there are no cars, run. As fast as you can." He barked from the other side of the road. I looked, then ran. A car came up the hill, I didn't see it. "Look out!!" Bud shouted. He ran like the speed of light, and pushed me out of the way onto the grass. He landed a couple inches away. He looked at me with pure disappointment. He turned around and started walking. Three steps later, he turned around and ran towards me. He tackled me.
"What are ya' doing?" I shout, trying knock him off.
"You were almost killed!!!"
"It's not my fault! I didn't see it coming!"
"One day, I'm not gonna be here, who will save you then?"
"You're leaving?"
"What? No! I... I can't be with you 24/7. I need to go on my own adventures, and so do you." Bud got off of me and lead me across the road. We walked through some trees. Then I was in aw.
"Buster, welcome to Detroit."
