My area is very small, in my cage I have a toy and an old blue blanket.
"Everything's gonna be okay little puppy." The woman patted my head.
"C'mon! I don't pay you to sit and play with runts!" The man came over and gave her arm a tug.
"Sir, I-"
"C'mon, these cats aren't gonna bathe themselves!"
"Actually, cats do bathe themselves."
"Enough! You are 1 second away from being fired!"
"But if I'm one second away from getting fired, wouldn't I be fired by now?" The woman smiled.
"That's it! Get out! You're fired!"

"Now who's gonna take care of muts like you?" That's it, I thought. I ponced on top of the man. "What the-Hey! Get offa' me!" He shrieked. I bounced off of him and headed for the door. I ran, I ran faster then I ever had. I was out of the shop. I saw the man run behind me, the door shut as he was running. His face smashed across the glass, he fell to the ground. I looked across the road, the woman was getting into her car. With no hesitance, I leaped into the road. But the smallest thing stopped me. A rock.
