I saw the car coming. It hit me, I could feel all the pain rushing through my body, but then I felt nothing.
"Buster!" I looked up.
"Spike?" I shouted. I tried to stand up, but I felt better then ever. I looked at my paw to see the rock jammed into it still. Suddenly, it slowly crawled out and my wound was gone. "What's going on?"
"You, are dead now." Spike smiled. I didn't understand why he was smiling at the time.
"I'm....d-d-dead?"
"Don't be so frightened." I looked up again.
"Bud? Is that really you?"
"Buddy, not Bud. Not anymore." I jumped up and shared a hug with my deceased brother.
"You don't know how much I've missed you." I bark.
"I missed you more."
"Nu uh!"
"You don't know what it's like to be take away from the whole world. You can only see the world, you can't be apart of it."
"Whatever, I've had to survive on my own for the past two weeks. But I did it!"
"Uh, Buddy? Can I talk to you for a minute?" Spike eagerly asked. He lead Buddy about a couple feet away from me. "When are you gonna tell em' that you've been keeping him alive and saving him?"
"Well...never. The kids happy and proud of himself. That's all I could ever ask." Buddy ran back over and hugged me once more. So yes, I had the same fate as my brother, but it doesn't bother me too much...
