Living with Teen Boys

Dinner

As I stirred the pan of soup I hummed to the radio. The smell was amazing and even standing next to it made my mouth water. As I hummed and swayed my hips I realized I was happy. I never felt this relaxed back at my house. It was just so stricked and proper that I had never really goofed around and sang out loud, yes I was singing out loud!? I tapped my foot against the tile flooring and stared to sing to Meiko bad things, "good girls do bad things sometimes but we get by with it". I laughed at myself for being so silly.

"Nice singing" a deep voice said behind me. I spun around splashing bits of soup onto the table. "God Jordan! You scared the crap out of me!" I shouted holding my heart with my hand. He laughed at me and continued to arrogantly stare at my but. "Take a picture it will last longer" I mumbled turning round to the soup and rolling my eyes. "Will do" he said taking out his phone. I gasped and turned around, "I'm kidding Lexi, you need to chill" he said holding up his hands and laughing at me. He was such a jerk. "So what's for dinner?" he asked still scrolling through his phone. "Soup" I said not even bothering to look at him. I stirred the pot until it was piping hot and turned of the gas. When I pored the soup into the bowls and put the bead onto the side plates I hear roars of laughter coming from the living room. There done.

I walked into the living room with Jordan following close behind. "Hey guys dinners ready" I shouted at them from the door, they egnored me and cintuned to watch the football. "Guys? GUYS!!" I shouted getting angry. "Whats up Lexi!?" screamed Logan, "Dinners ready?" I told them. "Just put it on the coffee table" shouted Kyle still glued to the TV, "Excuse me!? No! If you want a proper meal you will sit at the dining table in the kitchen, now get off your lazy arse and come eat!" I shouted. Sit at the coffee table and eat while watching TV, I can just see the mess they would make. They all turned to look at me with wide eyes. I walked over to the TV and pulled out the plug. They all groaned and started to complain. "Get up, up up up! Go on into the kitchen!" I said swatting them with the kitchen towel. They all got up slowly still groaning and moping. I pushed them into the kitchen and made them sit at the table. I sat the plates in front of them and we waited for there reaction. Kyle was the first one to try it, he sipped his spoon. When his eyes lit up and he smiled they all tucked into it. "God this is great Lexi!" said Logan, the soup was all over his mouth but he didn't seem to care. I smiled as I watched them eat there soup and give complements, they didn't have the best table manners but I was glad I could make them a decent meal.

Once they were done I cleaned the dished and left them to dry on the drying board, all the boys were in the living room half sleeping with full stomachs, I had done my job. I walked into the living room and found a empty space next to Kyle and Jordan. Half way into the movie we were watching I had managed to change position a million times. I lay with my legs over Jordan's lap and Kyle's head on my stomach. we were all full and starting to fall asleep. I was playing with Kyle's hair when my eyes started to shut.
