Jordan's P.O.V
I woke up with a banging in my head, I felt like my eyes were stuck together with glue. I felt around the ground looking for something familiar but only felt empty bear bottles and cold cigarettes. I slowly opened my eyes and found myself slumped against a wall in a trashed back yard, I groaned rubbing the back of my head. All I could here was a thumping in my brain, my mouth was dry and sticky. Where was I? I looked to my left and saw a boy sleeping on the ground, he had dried blood on his cheek. I stood up and lent against the wall as everything spinned around me.
I slowly walked over to the boy and shook him awake. "Dude! Get up!" I shouted in his ear, "What?..." he groaned rubbing his eyes. "Where are we? What happened last night?" I asked looking around at the garden filled with bear bottles and sleeping people. "You seriously don't remember?" he asked laughing at my cluelessness. "Nope, nothing" I said still trying to scrape through my blurred memories, "Well you got hammered, got into a fight, and passed out while making out with some chick". Oh... "I need to get home" I said pulling out my phone, 8 missed calls. Ughhh.
I phoned Lucas and asked him to pick me up. I waited on the front door step and looked out at the sun, it was so bright. There was seriously something wrong with me, I had gotten drunk to try and forget about the stuff I had said and did to Lexi. I was taught never to hit a girl and the guilt was eating me alive. Getting drunk was the only way to forget about everything, about the past and the future. As the taxi drew up into the street the door opened and Lucas's head popped out. "Come on drunk ass, lets get you home" he shouted waving at me. I stood up and sauntered up to the car and slowly slided into the car. How was I going to explain this one?...
Lucas's P.O.V
I looked over at Jorden and frowned. He looked awful. His hair had bits of ash and food in it, his clothes were rumpled and covered in mysterious stains, his breathe smelled like bear and vomit. His head drooped and his eyes were closing, he looked like he was going to be sick. I sighed, I had helped him too many times. I should be hating him for what he did to Lexi, I should be ignoring him but I couldn't he was my oldest friend and I couldn't abandon him. I continued to stare out the window trying to ignore Jordan's green face and swaying head. Why did life have to be so complicated?
