Chapter 17

An important new character will be added in this chapter, his name is Dustin (picture above).

Dustin Jackson- He has shaggy brown hair and sea green eyes. He is 21 years old and 6 foot 5 inches. Dustin is a kind hearted guy who has moved to Germany from Utah for the externship. His tattoo is on his forearm and has a cupcake, a trident, light saber, a masquerade mask, a pen, an anti-possession symbol, a cross, and a honey badger.

(4 Weeks after Natalie left for Germany.)

Michael's PoV:

It's been a few weeks since Natalie left for Germany and we talk every day. This morning she said her and a friend are going to Italy for the weekend.

I have to go to the café to work. It's been weird lately because one of the new waitresses has been flirting with me even though I have told her that I already have a girlfriend.

"Hey man how you doing?" AJ asks me as he takes a seat next to me on the sofa.

"Fine I guess. I just pray that hope isn't at the café today." I told him as I sink further into the couch.

"Why she seems really nice." AJ asks confused.

"She keeps hitting on me and it makes me feel uneasy." I say as I get goose bumps down my spine.

"She can't be that bad." He assured me.

"I don't know. All I know is that I miss Natalie like crazy." I tell him.

I sighed and got up off the couch and go to my room to get ready.

I look down at my phone and notice something unusual... A text form my mom.

Mom:- Hey Michael your father and I are in town this week and would like to get together with you before we leave again. Talk to you later -mom-. -

M:- I have a gig tomorrow night at Ray's if you want to come. - I text back before I change into my Doctor Who t-shirt and suit jacket. I grab my guitar and start off to the café.

I'm almost done for the night ' It's not the same without Natalie here.' is all that keeps going through my mind.

So far I haven't seen Hope tonight so it's not all bad. Just as I thought this guess who walks in, you got it Hope. She walks up to the stage as I end my gig.

"Hey hansom what are you up to after this?" She asks with her annoyingly high voice.

"I'm just going to go home and go to bed." I tell her flatly and without any emotion.

"Or we could go get some dinner and then head back to my place." She says as she smiles at me.

I wrinkle my noise in response to her statement. "I don't think so, I have some plans tomorrow." I tell her and continue to pack up my guitar.

"Maybe some other time then." Hope says with a wink and she walks away from me.

I sling my guitar over my shoulder and say goodbye to Natalie's friend Paige then I walked out of the café.

Natalie's PoV: (in Germany)

We finally get off of work and I walk back to the house with Dustin.

Dustin is from America, he lives in Utah, we are the only students from America that got to come here. Some professors came including Chef Andy.

Dustin and I share a two person house a couple blocks away from the restaurant that we are working at.

"Natalie?" Dustin says stepping in front of me and I almost run into him.

"Oh sorry. I kinda spaced out there for a moment." I say as I take a step back, "What were you saying?" I ask him.

"I was saying that it would be nice to get something to eat." he says smiling at me.

"Sure. where do you want to order from?" I ask him as I continue to walk down the street.

"I was thinking we could go out tonight instead of ordering in again." he said then took hold of my hand.

"Umm... Okay. What are you in the mood for?" I ask him with a soft smile.

"How's about we go to the little café down on the corner." he suggests with a flirty smile of his.

Dustin's PoV:

"That sounds okay I guess." Nat says with her beautiful shy smile.

From the first time I saw her when she moved into the house we share she captured my attention and I wanted to get to know her better but she has been so shy and distant.

We continue to walk down the street as I hold her hand. "Nat, why are you so quiet around me? I mean we have basically lived together for a month and I don't know a lot about you." I ask as I swing our arms.

"Well what do you want to know about me?" she asks brushing a piece of hair out of her face.

"Well I already know that you live in Littlecreek, KY and Chef Andy came with you from the same school, but lets start with how old are you and do you have any siblings?" I ask her with a wide smile.

"You are correct about my school being in Littlecreek, I really come from a small town in Ohio, and I'm 20 years old (Natalie has had a birthday). I have an older brother his name is SJ. He is a football player for a university in Ohio." she says with a small smile, "How about you, do you have any siblings?" she continues.

"Well I have twin sisters Kate and Gen, and a younger brother Jonny. the twins are 23 and Jonny is only 9." I tell her smiling. "Question number two. You dating anyone?" I ask her with a sly smile.

"Oh-umm yeah my boyfriend's name is Michael Deeá." She says smiling.

I notice a light blush on her cheeks, and my smile faltered.

"How about you any girlfriend back home?" she asks still smiling.

"No but there is this girl I have my eyes on." I say but in my head I'm thinking 'Only if you open your eyes you would see that I mean you.'

"Next question. How long have you two been together?" I ask her trying to not sound jealous.

"We're coming up on 2 months in a couple of days." she says as her smile fell a little.

I notice her grab a necklace. "What's that?" I ask with a slight laugh.

"Oh um Michael gave this to me before I left for here. It says 'No matter where' the other one says 'No matter how far' ." She says looking down at the necklace.

"Who has the other one?" I ask tilting my head slightly in confusion.

"Oh.. Michael does it was a set. He also has a necklace made out of a guitar pick that I gave him." she smiles again.

"Wow that's... umm sweet." I say kinda unsure.

"Yeah but I miss him so much."

"So we're here. Ladies first." I say as I open the door for her. I follow her in and we take a seat by the window.

(After dinner back at the house)

We walk back to the house and Nat starts going up the stairs to her room.

"Hey I had a great time at dinner we should do it again some time." I tell her smiling.

" I had a good time to. Well I'm going to take a shower then head to bed. Good night Dustin." she says and walks up the stairs.
