~•flashback...•~
Her cold hands are wrapped tightly over mine. My body is shaking with fear. Fear of losing the only one who understands me. "Mommy please don't leave me," I beg in a light whisper. My voice cracks on the word leave.
Unbearable pain runs up my small body mentally and physically, pinching my neves like lightning. She smiles at me wearily, "Arrissa I love you so much, but this isn't my choice," a warm tear rushes down my face, this feels like I've gotten the wind knocked at of me by a 2 ton car. "Stay strong. Here, I want you to have this. You will never be lost without it. It will remind you of me. " She tries to sit on her elbows to get something from under the bed.
The once powerful wolf I knew, slowly reaches from under the bed shaking, and pulls out a white box. "Here," she says, "Put this on, and I will always be with you." Her hand wipes a stray tear from my watery eyes.
A warrior escorts me out. Nobody wants Nattlie Forrest's 9 year old daughter in the same room as her, when she dies. I run towards the forest, box in hand. I finally stop near an area of pine trees and shrubs with newly colors of pink and blue. I open the box, slowly.
Right in the middle sits a beautiful gold necklace, with the smallest pendent in the middle. A shimmering gold wolf paw. I knew that once I put it on, I would never part with it.
•••8 years later•••
I can feel the wind trying to escape from my icy white fur, as I run faster. My paws barley touch the ground. I sniff the air lightly, still running, trying to pick up a faint sent of my mate. He's good, I think in my head.
-he's close to- my wolf howls
-I know I can feel him-
A devilish grin forms over my face. His sent is getting stronger. My mate is now horrible at hide-and-go seek. I stop to sniff the air. His sent bouncing everywhere. I can tell he turned human and then wer by the way his sent balances out. Strong, in some areas, and weaker in others.
I sniffed lightly at the ground. Careful not to move the dirt with my panting breath. Swoosh! A gust of wind wraps around my body, and next thing I know, is that a giant wolf is on top of me, pinning me down.
-you were off guard! A perfect time for your enemy to strike!-
I roll my eyes at her. Sometimes she can be real annoying.
The wolf, with its beautiful brown patchy coat, starts to lick my fur. I howl in delight. So does my wolf.
-got you- he said in mind link.
-no fair! you cheated-
-and you were off guard-
I smile and push him off of me. In my human state, I would of been crushed by the pressure of him. I transform into my human. My hair is a dirty blonde that flows to the end of my shoulder blade. It's tradition that female wer, grow their hair out down to their backs. But I'm tiered of being what everyone expects. I'm glad that I moved to Cameron's pack when I found him, even though I pretty much had no choice. I still miss my family though.
"So alpha, what are we going to do today?" I tease. He smirks and grabs my waist. "How about a swim?"
"Defiantly. "
I run, and Cameron follows, I jump into the air, transforming into my white wolf, while Cameron, his brown colorful one. I hate being so plain, Cameron's coat is brown, then he has patches of grey, beige, light brown, dark brown, and a tint of silver. Even his beta, Mark, is more colorful then me.
Don't get me wrong, I love Mark, he has been like a brother to me since I joined the pack. And his mate, Kelcy, is one of my best friends and my beta. Ya, that's right, Cameron's pack is so big that I need a beta too.
And a delta. I love both of them like a sister, but a Luna is practically alpha in female form so I would expect to have both, a beta and delta by my side.
Cameron runs by my side, occasionally licking me as we go.
-would you stop that? you might run into a tree- I say.
-your just so irresistible-
I roll my eyes. We finally reach my favorite place in all the territory. A pond sits in the middle of a small clearing. Tall pine trees and maple trees sit around it in a circle. The smell is amazing. There is new grass sprouting that gives it a pretty look. On the top of the pond is a very small cliff. It's practically a few giant boulders stacked on top of each other.
A small waterfall flows magnificently down the shinny stones. Vines with ?white lilies wrap all around, giving it a fairy tale look. And at night, it's beautifully lighten up with fireflies. In the water sits Lilly pads with lotus blossoms in the middle. The crystal clear water has little smooth stones on the bottom, and fish swimming around gracefully.
Cameron kisses my lips softly when we turn. "You are so beautiful," he whispers in my ear. I laugh and roll my eyes. "Catch me if you can!" I scream running towards the pond.
"Your going to get it!" he yells back.
My feet pick up, and I race towards the boulders. I climb up the slippery stones, careful not to fall, and then i jump.
The cold water sends culls up my spine. I float helplessly, sinking lower, lower, lower until I finally hit the bottom. The gold necklace that my mother gave me, floats into view. The little wolf paw print lights up, moving around my body. I feel a tingling sensation before it finally ends. What is going on?
I swim up and suck in all the air that could possibly fill my lungs, choking at the same time. Cameron dives in the water as fast as he can. When he reaches me, he holds me in his arms, and swims to shore.
"Are you ok!? what happened!?" he screams in panic. "I could of lost you." I stare at his beautiful face. His green eyes are flushed with panic, fear, and worry. He has beautiful features. High cheekbones, wispy brown hair that falls under his eyebrows. The perfect mate.
"Don't worry. " I cough trying to fake a smile. "I'm fine."
"Your in trouble missy. "
"I thought so."
