The Mermaid Stole My Alpha

Chapter 4

The wolf steps out of where she was hidden. It's coat, an autumish-red with some touches of orange and a tint of yellow glistens in the moon light. She did have a pretty coat, but her eyes made the whole look even more...how do I put this...feminine?

Everyone shifts except her. So I decide not to, too.

-shift- Cameron growls

-no this could be a trick-

-Arrissa Forrest, if you don't shift I swear...-

-fine. But only because  your threatening isn't scary- I roll my eyes.

The red wolf sits on the floor, and winks at Cam. My wolf growls at her gesture. Cameron's blue eyes examine the wolf as she sits lazily on her hind paws. "Shift" he says in his alpha tone. When its clear that she won't shift he starts to yell, "shift immediately."

I've never heard my mate yell before. It scared the living hell out of me. "Cam," I say calmly, holding his shoulder and arm, "don't." I knew he wouldn't. He doesn't attack random wolves, unless they are standing on his territory. But this wolf was dangerously close.  Everyone glares at the wolf, who seems amused.

She stands, causing everyone to move back in fright. Everyone except me. We are now nose to snout. I see a light shimmer in her green eyes, and she shifts immediately.

She looks like a very young wer. Maybe even my age. He hair is the brightest red that falls in waves to her waist. Its shinny and looks softer then normal wer's hair. Her shimmering skin looks blue from up close, and the green in her eyes is now accompanied by a teal. Beautiful super nova eyes. She has a very dramatic face. Perfect features; high cheek bones, strait nose, slim face. Her lips are a dark kind of red, and she's about as tall as me, but a little bit thin. The wer smells of water lilies, maybe even lotus, and... salt? She looks to well kept to be a rouge, and I'm not the only one surprised..
