We reach the pack house. Elders and other members of the pack welcome me in. Claudia, an elder who has been a dear friend of mine since I moved here, motions me over with a steaming cup I coffee in her hand.

"I made this for you. " She says, "I thought you'd be thirsty after your cold swim."

"Thank you" I reply with a smile. For an elder, Claudia is very strong and tough looking. Her voice firm. She is whole Viking so I guess that could be the case.

Even though wer are practically immortal, you can tell who is an elder. They have left their mark on the pack. We finish talking for what seemed like hours. Then Cameron and I head to his house.

We don't live in the pack house. He insisted on having his own house, because if anyone tried to come after him, none of the wolves in the pack house would get hurt. He even said that I should live with some of the omegas and pups. No way was I going to do that. The omegas might be the lower ranks, I still respect them through, but I'm not living with them when I could be living with my mate. He just wants to protect me though.

Actually, nobody really lives in the pack house. The only wolves that live there are the retired alpha Zain- Cameron's father- his mate Monica, and the omegas and some pups. The first floor is the meeting hall, the second floor has the omega's and pups rooms, and the third floor is were the pre-alpha and his mate live. Everyone else has their own houses that form around the pack house. It's basically a city. A hidden city. Most packs do all live in their pack house, but I guess we are different. Blue Moon Pack works differently.

The air is cold, and it started to get dark. Our house is pretty far from the pack house when we are walking on foot. I quickly shifted not only because I wanted to get home faster, but because I'm super cold.

Cameron did the same. We run for about 5 minutes and stop at the front door. The lights are all on. I give Cam a weird look before shifting and entering.

-did you forget to turn off the lights- I say.

-no. I did.-

We walk to the kitchen and Mark and Kelcy are sitting at the island eating what looks like soup. Steppe- Cameron's Delta- and Luci- my delta- sit on the couch that faces the tv and fire place. "You know you could of knocked." Mark says. Everyone laughs, while Cam glares at him. "Ya well this is my house." He says putting down his jacket.

"You know Cam, you get really mean when your hungry." Luci says with a grin. "I agree. " I say.

"Very funny. " He replies.

"I'll make you some soup, don't worry."

"Thanks Luci."

"You want some to Assirra?" She asks.

"Na I'll pass. But thanks."

We talk for about 20 minutes, when a loud howl pierces the fun. Everyone looks at each other. It's a warning call. Cameron gets up and runs out the door. I follow close behind with Luci, Mark, Kelcy, and Steppe.

We all shift. Cameron reaches the border line, were he is accompanied by two warriors.

"Alpha, there is a wolf not far from the border."

"We will wait until it approaches, if it doesn't come out any farther, then we shouldn't worry." He says in his alpha tone.

We sit there for about a half hour. Then I hear rustling in the bushes, and pick up a weird sent.
