•••Cameron Frost•••

My mate is sitting beside me. Her beautiful white fur always lured my in. It still does. She doesn't know, but she is the only pure white wer to have joined the pack. Though, I don't plan on telling her any time soon.

I hear a loud rustling noise that makes my wondering head focus. Everyone is up and alert. My ears prick up, detecting the slightest sound of movement. Arrissa does the same. I step in front of her slowly, making sure that if a rouge was coming, I could protect her. Knowing Arrissa, she'd find some way to getting me out of 'operation protection' as she calls it. I can't help but to worry every minute, every second about her well being. Even if she doesn't like it.

I start to relax more when the rustling stops, but I'm still on guard: Watching, waiting, sensing. My beta Mark, and his mate Kelcy pace back and forth around us, making sure nothing happens to their Alpha and Luna. Steppe sits on the right of me, while Arrissa stands to the left, and her Delta sits to her right.

I made a good decision picking them as my 2nd and 3rd rank.

My nose wanders to the sky, sniffing. I then pick up a sent. The others do to. It doesn't smell rouge... it smells, pleasant actually. Arrissa rolls her eyes.

The rustling continues as the sent becomes stronger, tingling in my nose. It's not as good as my mate's sent. Nothing is better then hers.

Finally, two giant bright green eyes scan us. Observing us, like we observed it. But this wolf is doing it out of curiosity, while us out of fear and safety. I cannot see its coat, it's face, or its body, only it's luminescent eyes. They seem to be teasing the group. Wanting to come out and revel its self, but wanting us to guess all at the same time.

This worries me.

Steppe lets out a low growl. In return, the unknown wolves' eyes get brighter. I have to squint at them.

Everyone is up on their paws, ready to fight if necessary. The hidden wolf steps out. I cannot believe my eyes.

•••Arrissa Forrest•••

We are still waiting. I could be in bed by now, sleeping next to my warm mate. But no. I have to be out here making sure some stupid rouge doesn't get into the territory. I know, I know, it's my duty I'm the Luna for crying out loud. I just wish I could have a break from time to time.

I hear the rustling a second time. Steppe and Luci begin pacing back and forth around Cam and I. I stand up, worried that something may come out to attack. I remembered what my wolf said, you need to stay on guard.

-be alert- she tells me

She knows that something is up and I don't like when she's keeping secrets from me. Cam's nose waves back an forth in the air sniffing. I pick up a sent too. I can tell its not rouge and I think Cameron feels the same. He seems to like the smell.

I roll my eyes at the thought. Then out of nowhere are these two bright green eyes. They watch us for a moment. Steppe growls, and the eyes seem to be amused so they burn brighter.

-it's female- growls my wolf.

I'm now the protective one over Cameron.
