Chapter 15

Waking was the worst thing of the day. I missed the sweet sleep and dreams. I had heard talking the room over. Thomas talking to the one he loves. Angela.

It was so sweet and kind barf at the same time. I liked that he found who he love, but it was making him all mushy. Still, it was sweet. Angela was a girl with grey eyes and bleach blonde hair. In many eyes, she is beautiful.

I knew my brother had a huge future ahead of him. Just like everyone else in this world. We have to take one step forward and two steps back. We all have struggles in our life's and we can overcome them with friends and family.

I had a feeling this isn't the end of my story. High school. Such a place to start. It helps us find life long friends and maybe our career. Don't forget the one you love. Life is only so short, you know.

Walking to my group of friends, had expanded. It expanded of their boyfriends. Stopping at the edge of the group I nudged Coco. She smiled and continued holding hands with Nic. I gave Nic a look and he only chuckled.

Someone wrapped their arms around my waist and kissed my cheek. I turned beet red and giggled. Drew only held on tighter and tuned into the conversation. This was perfect for everyone. I heard a cough and say my friends part. Collin stood on the other side.

He walked up to the Nic and Drew and said the words that will ruin their dreams. "You are kicked off of football team for rest of high school."

He walked off.

Feeling Drew stiffen behind me and seeing Nic close his eyes. Why the hell will Collin do that? Does he want revenge? Does he hate me that he takes it out on them? Grr.

I turned around and faced Drew. I wrapped my arms around his neck and asked, "what now?"

He shrugged, lifting my arms up and down. He only smiled and turned me around to head to class.

Walking into the lunch room would me memorable. Hearing so much laughter and my boyfriend holding a bucket. Weird way of saying things, huh?  Anyway, When I walked in I say a purple skinned Collin with feathers all over him.

Karma. What comes around goes around, to Collin.

Laughing; Drew walked over to me and said. "He is going to be like that for state."

I knocked on the door along with Rick waiting for someone to open the door. I for got my keys in my locker, Rick has them on his dresser, and Gabe doesn't have it yet. Plus, my parents are working at the toy stores. Oh yes, no spare! We were depending on Thomas.

"Damn it! Why today? It's freezing out here!" He slammed his fist on the door and pulled back in pain. Cradling his hand for comfort. All I could do was laugh.

Once again I rang the doorbell non-stop. When he didn't answer, I circled the house. Nope, no open windows. Sighing; I walked back to Rick to see him playing tic-tac-toe with Gabe. I sat by them and leaned my head on the door.

This is just great family time.

Gabe circled the kitchen looking for something and Rick helping. I turned to Thomas and he gave me a apologetic smile. Smile my frozen butt. He had left to see the town. We were sitting on that doorstep for two hours. Two!

Walking up the steps to my bedroom was like a stairway through time.

I had found the person I liked and ran with Gabe to the lake, and had many pranks. I even ran to find my brother. I had found my family and even expanded my group of friends. Rick and I are getting along, but Collin is still the Devil.

Life can give you many surprises. Sometimes you don't accept them and sometimes you do. Guessing what happens next in your life is what you have to do sometimes. Running is a way of life to me. What about you?
