Chapter Six: Cam's Story

    I stared up at the officer in horror. “Oh h*-- no! I am not going back to being their lab rat again!!” I shouted, kicking the guard down. I clutched Alexis's hand, due to her being right beside me, and took off running. “Arch, Bse!! Take the girl you have and get out of here!! We will meet up all together later!!” I shouted.

    Arch nodded, taking Twi with him and Bse took Starlight. Would we all get to see each other again? That all depended on the strength of the team. I knew for a fact that Bse, Twi and Arch were strong. I was worried that Starlight wouldn't live through this. Yet, why would Bse let Starlight get hurt? Gah! Being leader is so stressful!! I increased speed, yanking Alexis's arm hard to keep her from falling behind. I already knew all my team's strengths and weaknesses.

       Alexis was pure power. Strong at heart and physically, this chick was pretty unique. She could fly, but wasn't fast at running. Alexis was another team medic and could swim very well. This girl was a tank when it came to battle. She has two weapons she carries. A baseball bat and a sword. Geez that proves that this chick is not one that is easy to take down. She was also very logical with her complex thinking. She could play mind games on our enemies. However, her usually sunshiny mind plays dark games with her. That makes her slightly weaker emotionally, but not too badly.

   

    Starlight was kind at heart, caring about everyone she met. That made her naïve of mind. She could trust almost anyone. Not only that, but she was generally weak and not the best fighter on the team…okay the worst fighter on the team. But what could I do about that?! I couldn't just kick her off the team and leave her!! We all care about her too much!! Contrary to that, Starlight could mend wounds well. Not to mention her wings were helpful in aerial combat.  Not to mention quick on her feet and in the water. That's how she made up for her lack of fighting skills.

           Twi, well, she is what I'd call a wild card. Unpredictable with her speed, power and attacks. It's hard to guess how she'll move next!! Bad thing is, she isn't the best at thinking her moves out beforehand, so she often gets into trouble afterward. She carries a special pencil that she can use to draw out items and acid paint. She and Alexis are best friends and could defeat an army of fighters together. She is also a skilled fighter and friend.

      Bse is a tank. He can crush his enemies easily and retains a fast speed, but lack of intellect. He usually fights best when he has a goal, but in this world…well, like back home….he mostly fights to keep Starlight and the others safe. Out of my curiosity, I wonder why he likes Starlight so much. He always wants to be around her.

     Arch is definitely the wittiest person on the team. He can trick ANYONE. Calm, cunning and logical, this guy brings the team together when it's all gone crazy. He fights using his hands and feet, kicks and punches. Hand to hand combat kind of thing. He is dating Twi, friends with Starlight, close friends with Alexis, best friends with Bse and me. This makes him able to understand each of the team member's points of view and stop an argument.

       Me? Well, my skills are most wit and my gun. I can shoot a target down from up to twenty yards away. I am speedy, but not the best at controlling my anger or stress. Otherwise, I'm pretty chill. I am connected close with the team, but I do have some issues with Twi's hyperactivity sometimes or Alexis's stubborn attitude when I mess with another team member. I swear, that girl can p*-- anyone off if she puts her mind to it!! I mean, she always wants to get it to where her point is known and you aren't gonna mess with the other person. Geez!

  “Yo, Cam! I'm gonna go with Twi. You cool with teaming up with Arch?” Alexis chimed. “Yeah, I am. Let's head ‘em off and trade partners there!” I answered. Arch nodded and ran toward us. We dashed to them and switched team members. Alexis and Twi headed east. Bse ran off with Starlight north. Arch and I headed west.  Would the team meet up again? I sure hoped so.  Nether less, we all would find a way back to Mobius together. I was certain of that.
