I blame this song for Lola Poleng and Lolo Vic's break-up.

Spotlight on Lola Poleng, Meng, and Coleng. Meng and Coleng continue to cry on the bed while Lola Poleng is seated on a seat across them, wiping her eyes.

Meng: (angrily throws a pillow) ARGHH! Men and their stupid pride! (stands up) Did he think na siya lang ang nahihirapan sa situation niyo? Mamita was hurting too! But did he care? Noooo~ All he cared about his own feelings and his ego and how others would perceive him! Bakit, sila ba ang ka-relasyon niya? Bakit mas inuunawa niya pa ang iba? Bakit mas gusto niya pang i-please yung iba than the woman he loves? I'm telling you, all men are jerks! (gets a piece of chocolate from the opened box on the table where Lola Poleng is seated, and angrily chews it)

Coleng: (wipes her tears and snot) Wow, teh, may hugot? Tsaka di naman natin siya masisisi eh. It was a different time Meng. Societal expectations and familial obligations and all that jazz. I don't think he was stoking his ego. He really was looking after Mamita's best interest. (eats another licorice stick)

Meng: (glaring at Coleng) Are you taking his side?

Coleng: (rubs Meng's shoulders) Hindi naman sa ganun. I just think that it's unfair to put all the blame on him. They were both so young. They were after all only 18 and what...(counts fingers) 23? What did they know about living together and starting a family?

Lola Poleng: It's funny how hindsight is 20-20. Looking back, it now made sense, but that does not numb the hurt. My head understood his reasons. I knew how vindictive my mother was should she find out that we were still meeting behind her back. What more if we did elope? She'd mobilize her contacts in the army and leave no stone unturned until she found us. But my heart broke because our love was not enough. My love was not enough... (Meng and Coleng touch her shoulder on either side and hug her)

Their light dims. Spot light on center stage. Poleng is in her room, in her bed clothes. Her eyes are red and swollen, hair unkempt, crumpled tissue is littered on her bed. A soft knock is heard before the door opens as the mayordoma enters the room. Poleng does not turn to her, looking out the window. She approaches Poleng with kind eyes.

Mayordoma: Senyorita Poleng, may bisita po kayo.

Poleng: Manang, masama po pakiramdam ko. Pakisabi na lang na bumalik sila sa ibang araw.

Stacy and Joana suddenly enter the room. The Mayordoma leaves the room to give them privacy, closing the door on her way out.

Stacy: Oh no you don't! You've been cooping yourself up in this room and we won't let you keep pushing us out.

Joana: Yeah Polly. Let us be here for you just as how you've always been there for us when we are down in the dumps. We're friends, right?

Poleng: (strarts crying) Oh girls! (the three hug each other) I'm so sorry! I'm sorry for keeping you out!

Stacy: (pats her head gently) There, there. All is forgiven. (wipes her tears and fixes Poleng's hair) What happened to make you distressed? You look like you just survived a train wreck.

Poleng: (wipes cheeks) Do I really look that bad?

Joana: Polly, she was speaking kindly. You look so miserable I'm sure even Rock would be alarmed.
